My specification ordered today

Hi guys, just thought I'd share my order with you and look forward to your comments.

320d M-Sport
EB2
Sport Auto
Pro Media
Harmon/Kardon
Visibility Pack
Extended storage
Privacy glass
19" 403ms
Heated front seats

I've got a 320d ED at the moment and had a 118d M Sport prior to that so looking forward to the extra toys.

It's a company vehicle so no delivery date confirmed yet. How long would you suggest I'd be left waiting for it?

Excited is an understatement.

Have you ordered some of the items as an M Sport Plus Package? It might save you some money.
See below:

M Sport Plus Package launched

From the end of July BMW will be offering an M Sport Plus package across the new BMW 1 Series, 3 Series and 5 Series ranges.

Priced from £1,400-£2,000 over the standard M Sport model, the BMW 1 and 3 Series gain Xenon Headlights with Headlight wash, Sun protection glass, harman/kardon loudspeaker system and M Sport braking system. The BMW 3 series M Sport Plus package also benefits from the addition of 19-inch M Sport light-alloy wheels.

July availability. Could be ordered now?
You might be able to sort something out with your friendly dealer.

Personally I would drop the privacy glass as it doesn't suit the F30 and add split folding rear seats instead. Otherwise great spec.

But the headlights aren't active and I want them to be.

But then I'd like the calipers too.

Bloody hell.

We are all assuming you will be able to add the adaptive headlights for another £200.

The M Sports Pack looks interesting and covers a few of the options I'm adding but I don't want the 19" wheels and not really interested in the M Brakes. I'd have preferred the pack to consist of the M Adaptive Suspension, VSS and the sports Auto (if auto and not the 330d).

If you have kids, then don't drop the privacy glass. It saves having those horrible stuck on window shades!

I think privacy glass most certainly suits the F30/F31, to be honest it looks good on any car and makes it look much sportier

The standard windows already have a slight tint, and you have aircon. Kids are fine. Privacy glass doesn't make it look sporty at all, too dark. Panel van. But we've been down this road before. I'm happy with the standard tints.

+1. Plus don't see the kids fingermarks all over the back, and IMO think it makes the F30/31 look sportier too.

I was a little shocked at just how dark they are but would rather have them than not at all.

Adds a certain aggressive look IMO.

This forum is very good for adivce, but there is too much, ,regarding opinion. Only up to you to decide.

Folding dimming mirrors - else get dazzled by following cars who can't afford adaptive high beam!

Plus they dip when you select reverse! That's why I went for them.

Why do you think manufacturers even tint the front windows and windshield in many press release shots and advertising pictures of a car if it doesn't make the car look sporty and better

Its only because it never gets light in Scotland that you can't see the benefit

Spot on. If you look on BMW AUC, I would say 95%+ M sports have the privacy glass.

Tints CAN look better. My R32 tints looked great. The previous gen 3 series tints looked great. They are just too dark, there's too big a contrast between the front and rear windows now. It's over done and looks a bit chav.

Only the near side passenger mirror dips on reversing if the switch is in the right position.
