Retail therapy! How are you getting on? You were crocked - on the mend now hopefully. Still the car is a beneficiary - will be in very fine fettle at the end of this!!

It'll be nice to drive it when I can haha

The OEM M Performance pedals and dead pedal landed today via Cotswolds BMW; will get them fitted when I can move more freely...

Currently very tempted with the OEM M Performance CF/alcantara interior trim set and the OEM alcantara steering wheel...

Basically I'm bored; can't do much so spending money like its going outta fashion
I will be setting up the BMW insured warranty when it goes in for service on the 3rd It's the big boy £500 service

M Performance pedals you say! I'll be very keen to see those fitted as the boring standard pedals let the interior down a bit.

Tell me about it. Went into the dealer this morning to pick up a few bits, and I was looking around to see what else I could buy

Hi pal

I'm ok thanks; surgery went superbly! It really dopes pay to go private...

The NHS is in the shit; not their fault, but with this it left me with no option other to go private really as it'd have been c12 months waiting and I've already had 2 years of suffering with the issue!

Cost me best part of £3k but I'd pay it again & again TBH...!

Haha yeah; the cars getting plenty of attention; damn thing isn't being used though

It will do soon; I'm going to have a drive out sometime next week and see how I get on!

Currently considering the OEM alcantara steering wheel; which they bare wheel is very cheap via BMW resellers in Lithuania, I've seen this morning! But I've also asked Jack @ RSW to see what prices he can offer for a fully re-trimmed one...

I'd highly recommend it; more so if your car is bone stock/fully OEM etc

With mods; it can be really hit n miss; a lot of issues with this recently via a few owners over on PH forums unfortunately...

That's why I'm not doing anything to the car until Feb 2024 and then that's it out of warranty and I can start then

So I'm going to make decisions of what to buy later this year and then start stock piling

A quick update and will follow up with pics when it all lands

I’ve been house bound, bored & with not a lot to do since my op on 10th May and unfortunately things aren’t as good as they could be, so still having a few tests (stomach issues)

Anyways… That’s a dangerous cocktail as it means I’ve been spending £££ like it’s going outta fashion

So far I’ve bought:

- OEM BMW M Performance alcantara / CF interior trim (dash, dash vent, centre console and all 4 door handles)
- The OEM BMW CF/Alcantara gear lever surround
- The OEM CF gear lever trim & that comes with new badges and screw to fit it all
- An OEM BMW red start/stop button
- OEM BMW M Performance pedal covers inc. the dead pedal

I had ordered the M Performance chrome tail pipe trims too but unfortunately don’t fit even though the part numbers are correct as per RealOEM, so they’re getting sent back to Douglas Park BMW

Anyways; once it’s all in the garage I’ll get pics of it and when it’s all fitted too…

Need to get myself fixed first as the pedals will require footwell gymnastics and I’m not in a position to be doing that currently

Finally, an update. Hardly touched the car since my op on 10th May and then just had a 6 day holiday in the local hospital due to a delayed reaction to the general!

My liver reacted and created a few issues with my gallbladder; so that's now due to be whipped out

Anyways...

Ordered all this trim over the last week or so; a few bits brand new, the rest 2nd hand/used but immaculate. ALL OEM BMW, no copies/aftermarket etc

I'll fit the pedals when I'm feeling better and up for some footwell gymnastics as there's a bit of drilling to be done etc

Will update ASAP when I've fitted the pedals etc

The car also needs a clean inside & out, it's filthy!

Yes - That is very nice! On your other thread about pedals - if i were you I would wait until you can do the acrobatics required to fit them with the supplied screws / nuts and bolts. I say that because you definitely would not want the brake pedal cover to slip or become dislodged! I fitted that kit to my E90. Come sale time I took it off and it was all but invisible. The rubber brake pedal cover hides the tiny holes that are drilled and the self-tappers for the throttle pedal require such small holes that someone would have to be down there with a magnifier to find them.

Yeah I'll be fitting them as per the instructions... When I'm able to bend a bit more and crawl in (as much as I can) Thank goodness for long limbs

M Performance pedals fitted

Pig of a job IMO, more so if you've shovel like hands like me! Trying to get the fiddly little bolts done on the brake pedal was a mare!

Exhaust trim swapped

The OEM chrome tailpipes were corroded/pitted etc and no amount of polishing will restore them

Instead of forking out c£160 for the OEM replacements I've fitted £35 Amazon black chrome specials via a reseller in Germany

Link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Exhaust-Tai...6746850&sr=8-1

Bit of WD40 and the OEM ones slide off & the new ones slide on (with the aid of a rubber mallet)

Looks good, might order some for myself. Can you update on condition after a few good drives to see how the heat affects the finish

I can't see the finish being affected at all TBH; the exhaust never gets that hot

They fit really well; perfect length and they're tight too, so need a good few whacks to get them on, but WD40 helps a lot

Blimey, after a good run in my 340i F31 with MP tips you would burn your fingers if you touched them.

Ahh .. quick edit, just realised that you are diesel so not likely to get too hot.

The groceries in my 330d's boot last weekend beg to differ

Diesels still get pretty toasty back there.

Just seen the pics. That little lot looks loads better. I have the same aluminium trim as you had, which didn't offend me really, but after seeing the transformation of your upgrades, I'm tempted to do the same.

The pedal covers look LOADS better. M sports should have come with those from the factory instead of the boring black plastic and rubber. Let me know how they work out with slippery wet trainers

They're spot on TBH; really grippy...

Snowfoamed and rinsed the car before; it didn't need washing but shite-kites have been training down the driveway; so there was festered bird crap on the roof, windscreen & bonnet that needed washing off...

Just towel dried the glass as it got a top up coating of AGs Polar Seal on Sunday; so it ran off well and nigh on dried before I could start doing the glass its that warm here!

But no issues with slipper, wet trainers
