I don't have a garage, and even if I did, sometimes I come outside after work and Mother Nature has dumped 6" plus of white fluffy (or slushy) stuff on my car.

Can't drive without getting at least some of it off the car. Any recommendations for a nice soft snow brush? And what's your technique for getting the snow off without scratching the paint? Obviously it's not always possible to wash the car right before every storm, so there may be dirt and grit underneath.

Hey i work at a used car lot and i would bet a foam snow broom. works wonders wont scratch car and moved alot of snow off fast.

Doesn't exist, basically if there's dust/light dirt on your car and you've got snow on top of it then pushing the snow away in any way will cause light marring, the only option and it's not really a option first thing in the morning is get the pressure washer out.

Iv cleared my car windscreen before and driven to the local garage to use their PW but they are usually frozen!!

Basically live with it and correct the car in spring.

Keep a good coat of sealant or wax on your car in the winter as that helps! I don't use my brush to remove snow. I prefer to use my gloves and my jacket sleeve to remove snow. Then I can make sure I am not touching paint...or at least very minimally. I find if I start car and do windows first, then go back to paint the car has warmed up a bit. It usually takes no effort to clear off my hood and roof.
I end up leaving my car outside over night at Whistler a few times a year. Usually this method works fine for me. I have had issues when there was slush on the car and it froze over night. Snow ends up falling on a warm car so the first bit becomes slush. Over night that layer freezes and more snow falls on top. This can stick like glue! I don't try and get this off. With my glove I can remove top layer of loose snow and not move the bottom shit that is frozen to paint. I am scared the hard frozen layer will scratch. Just a short drive and the warmth from the engine clears off the hood.

no matter what you do your going to mar your paint. even if you wash your car with the softest wool mitt and dry it with the softest towel there will be light marring. another good option is to get a cheap leaf blower from home depot or lowes. I have a cheap electric one that i use to dry my car before i wipe it down. it will work with snow also unless it is heavy wet snow.

I just try to push it off right above the paint and let the rest melt off. Its going to be my first season having Cquartz on the car with snow so we will see how that does (or doesn't) effect things.

If you can, let your car run for ~10 minutes with the heater and defrost. If you can't, clear the Windows, turn on the defrost, go for a quick spin around the block.

Get protectant and clear bra before winter starts. Use a soft brush to clear the snow, but know it will leave small marks every time you do. Deal with the light marring and dulled paint in spring.

I street park and feel your pain. I attached a pic of my car next to an R8 at work. That's how it looks all winter.

I usually heat the car during 7-10 minutes. Then i use usual silicone car scraper (purchased it on Amazon).

Just clear a little 6-inch diameter spot on the windshield and strain to see through it as you drive. I see people in Virginia do it all the time! Joking, of course! I actually wrapped a microfiber towel around the bristle end of my snow brush and wipe the heavy stuff off without going down to the paint.

I only clear the glass. Then I drive and let it all blow off all over everyone else on the road like an ahole BMW driver. Even like that you can still get marring. Sometimes a roof or hood shaped piece of ice/snow goes sliding off....all that dirt trapped between the ice and the paint....arrrgh.
