Ambient lighting increase and white dials at night
Anyone tried and got these working?
I selected the correct variable and changed it from 64 (default) to 150 or something. Doesn't seem to have made an impact...further reading suggests 64 is maximum level as it is a percentage..equal to 100 in decimal? I've split off the display brightness from the ambient and that works fine, I.e. Ambient stays fixed when display brightness wheel is adjusted. The level isn't bright enough but without hardware maybe that's it? Secondly, I've tried without success to change the Orange display illumination to white at night but the values are different as default from the cheat sheet and they are not sticking when I do change them. Example, default for DIM_NACHT_EIN is not 32 it is 08 in my car. I change it to FF and code it fine but when I go back in to check, the status is UNKNOWN. So I change that to acktiv and recode without error. When I go back in again, it has changed the value back to my default of 08. Maybe worth trying to change the value to 64? Very odd and annoying as I've had 100% success following other coding steps. |

Interior Ambient Lighting is set to 64 (100%) by default. What you see at 64 is the brightest is can go without hardware change.
You cannot have 'White Dials' for your instrument cluster because you lack the hardware for it. Your instrument cluster does not have a white light to illuminate them, even during the day. Sorry, my friend.
