Blue tint on side view mirrors
Just wondering if anyone liked the old blue tint on the side view mirrors that BMW's used to have on their cars. I honestly like it, but don't know what it was for. Debating whether or not to put tint on my f30 side view mirrors. Would that affect the auto dim?

I loved the blue hue on the old BMW models better of course IMO.

The bluee hue was to help reduce eye strain from cars behind you with headlights that are too bright (i think but im pretty sure)
that is pointless now that we have auto dimming mirrors also those blue tints soak up UV rays way too much and starts to burn the tint and then your mirrors end up being useless thats why a lot of old german cars with these blue tints you see on the road have rusted looking mirrors |
