Ditching RFT for PSS
I've decided since I need new tires to ditch the RFTs for some Michelin PSS.
I currently have style 397 rims on a 335i sportline w/ some continental summer RFTS [225/45/18 all around]. I am favoring a staggered setup moving forward as I've heard a 8.5" rim will have no problem supporting a 245 width. So I will be getting 225/45/18 in the front w/ 245/40/18 in the rear. However there seem to be different options regarding load index in speed rating. Does anyone have experience on which EXACT tire I should be selecting? Also feel free to give me any feedback on whether switching to the staggered setup is a mistake, or if you'd recommend different sizes than I am favoring atm. |

If your current wheels are square just get a set of 245s all around.

I just put 245/40-18 on my 18x8 400M wheels as a fall/winter setup.

So I went with 245/40/18 97Y. Square set up. Very satisfied with the extra width and the tires feel way softer on the road with amazing grip and feel. Could not recommend them enough. Stance also looks way meatier

Do you have any pics? I plan to go With that size when my RFT's wear out.
