I have Stage 1 in my car, passed on catless down pipe for the warranty period and will go full JB4 when stage 2 is out of beta.

Only issue with catless dp is, it's illegal, but is a reasonable mod for extra Kw & Nm.
Maybe after the warranty, when I can service the car at my favourite independent BMW specialist.

Do you have any idea when it will go out of Beta? I've been following some threads and no word yet?

My thoughts are they need to sort out the electronic wastegate issue first?

JB4 stage 2 isn't in Beta ? I have it on my car with DP with no issues but I do have the pneumatic solenoid.

They are working on the stage 2 for cars with the electronic wastegate at the moment.

OP, yes, if you take out the JB4 and have a catless DP then you'll very likely get a CEL.
A CEL typically only comes up after about 2 days though.. the car will monitor the o2 over a little while, when the engine is warm, cruising at a constant temperature and other conditions before thinking "ok something is not right going to illuminate the CEL now".. so if you wanted to chance it, remove the JB4 the night before service, drive it to service and as long as the service guys don't take it for too long a drive the CEL won't show up. Definitely not a foolproof way around it.

I have had people asking me when stage 2 will be out of Beta so I emailed Terry and he said they normally keep the tag BETA on there for several months after release and currently no set timeframe to remove it, but no big changes are planned either.

It's still in beta, even though the pneumatic solenoid cars are fully customisable and offer more power & torque than the electronic solenoid cars.

I'll definitely wait for them to sort out the electronic WG before going to Stage 2 which i am really looking forward too.

Last i also read was that its not there yet and they haven't given any specific time frame which says to me they just haven't worked it out yet.

I spoke to terry and he told me they're working on it right now. They have no choice but to sort it out asap as all 4 series are electronic WG.

Yeah, it's been like that for a long time. Stage 2 does offer an improvement over S1 for electronic WG cars and as far as I understand it, works very well, but not the same performance improvement as the solenoid ones.

Yep. Me too. Looks like a hard one and Terry want to take his time to sort it out or it's kind of low priority - maybe. S1 is fine for me.
