Top Speed 328i

I currently live in germany and I love driving on the autobahn but my f30 governs out at 130mph. Is there any way to tune my f30 to take of the governor? Whats tuners do you guys recommend?Thank you!

130mph !!! how many miles you have on your car, I check on DME on my car it says 257 km/h (160mph) so I think my car is not limited, never made any updates at dealer though.. anyway you have to go to dealer and check with them because the limit on this engine is 155 mph this is not a 320i or 316i

I hit max speed of 130mph when I dynoed but that was just in 5th gear and stopped when it shifted to 6th. So the limiter is atleast 130mph.

I would say this would be specific per region as well.

What tires do you have on your car. All season or summer performance. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. If you get the summer performance tires you also get the increased speed limiter. I have a 328i and I got mine up to 160mph.

That is correct, you need summer tires from the factory in order to get option 840(if I remember correctly) which increases the top speed from 130->155mph.

Apart from the software governing the max speed, the correctly rated tyres are also important to make sure things don't come to a sudden, inertia induced end.
