Roof rail paint bubbling

Hi guys just recently purchased a 2013 f30 335xi. I noticed a day after purchase that my roof rails closer the front has paint bubbling/bulged up. Is this a common issue? and is covered under warranty? please lmk thanks.

I had the same on my E70 right at the joint on the roof rail. If you aren't under 4y/80k warranty, the body corrosion warranty does not cover it. I partially dropped my headliner and swapped mine myself

i got warranty till end of this year so ill swing by a dealer and see if i can get it changed.if ill get it replaced by myself i guess. thanks

Picked up a '12 myself recently and it had the same issue, however I spotted it before I bought the car and had the dealer fix the roof strips as part of the deal. They're plastic so there's no issues with rust, so I'm not sure why they're bubbling. Poor workmanship from factory perhaps?

Do you know if CPO covers it? I had this issue previously, and they had the used car department handle it. Sadly the paint bubbled again just 6 months later.

I do not think CPO covers it.

Should be corrosion warranty, you can always give that a shot too.
