245/40/19 & 275/35/19 - xDrive - how much understeer?
I am about to put about $10k into my car, engine, suspension and wheels/tires. (2014 435ix Black Sapphire Metallic)
JB4/intercooler/catless DPs/intake H&R Sport springs Gunmetal VMR721 - 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 - Michelin PSS 4S Possibly Remus axle back (this puts me over 10k) Objective is to get this to the driving machine it is supposed to be, but also look a lot nicer. I am not sure I will track this car (I don't think the rest of the car would keep up and it would be frustrating). I want really nice feel on on ramps, LOTS more grip, a rewarding cornering, with a neutral balance with the understeer gone. I absolutely hate how high this 435ix sits, I might as well have bought an SUV. I have been reading lots of the threads, and I have found the look of the car I want: VMR721 is a beautiful looking rim, elegant and has the concavity I want. I certainly like the look of stagger, with the big fat rear tires and excellent fit of the VMR brand. I know a square setup is probably what I should do.. but I love these rims. A 255 probably won't fit on these rims on the front, then I have the 1% issue again on XDrive, so this limits me to options. Questions: 1) How much understeer is this going to have compared to stock? 2) Will I meet my objective listed above with a staggered setup on the handling? 3) Will the H&R springs, and a 245 front be good enough for a lot more grip and faster cornering ? 4) Should I put on camber plates for better cornering? What do you think? (PS: the black pictures are of a VMR701 which is similar to the V721 but only black / gunmetal pictures I could find). It is really sweet looking.
