my dad has an older e90 with the push-in key and it probably comes apart the same way, but i never knew if it did. i just assumed some functionality was lost when going to the new style keys. |

very interesting, I had never heard of this before. Oddly, I've tried it since reading this and does not work that way at all in any of my 3 BMWs.

In the CA's defense it's hardly new tech. Besides, if the CA showed you everything there is to show the delivery process would take hours, if not days. That's why BMW created all of those videos. Of course, as a matter of absolute last resort there's always

Mine doesn't do this either. I wanted it to, because I miss the steering-wheel mute button I coded into my VW. (The voice command sucked in that car, and if you disable the voice command button feature, the button functions as mute.)

I just discovered if you have the a/c on Max, the car will not auto start/stop, like it does in normal a/c. So if you haven't coded this feature and it's hot out, just push max a/c and then turn the fan speed down and you're good to go.
Mind you, I could also push the button to disable auto start/stop too, but sometimes I like going the long way around. |

Not sure if anyone mentioned it and I didn't read through all the post but after washing if you fold the mirrors up it dumps all the water out.

Maybe--but opening and starting the car when the fob dies is pretty important. And there are LOTS of people that have no idea how that works.

It is not the same for US cars; has to be coded out but can be done
