Regular coulda gone from $1.909 to $2.139 overnight. We're talking sun goes down, sun comes up, and suddenly $2.139. It still will happen, just not tomorrow.

Yeah, but you get to hug Koala Bears everyday, that's a good trade off

Gas prices are the least of my concerns. Property tax and insurance premiums are the highest in U.S. This is just one more thing to hate about NJ. I grew up here and am comfortable here. But it's getting harder and harder to stick around.

There are gas discount programs and other ways to pay less for gas if you really look. Stop & Shop is one. I remember paying $0.17 for 10 gallons last year. and I charged it.

Didn't this same tax code also reduce your overall sales tax from 7% to 6%?

imho it smacks down the little people, because a 2017 991.2 Carrera 4S gets better mileage than a 2002 Ford Escort. I'm just glad I'm rich. (sarcastic)
Well, this just sounds stupid. Usually, taxes, gas tax in particular goes to fixing the roads and bridges. It appears they will be using the gas tax for the general budget. That just dont seem right.

Just to show how all over the place the situation is, I saw that Christie said if you live in NJ, and work in Phila., we may be after you. he is considering yanking this

http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/njit25.shtml

Now the interesting thing is this affects people in the southern part of the state. One can also argue, it's like dropping a pebble in the ocean.

Where the real stealing can take place is where people live in NJ, and work in Manhattan, this is a huge nut. If he were to yank the tax credit that NJ residents get for taxes paid to NY, imho the state would be in turmoil.

My point is, once again, he's looking at penalizing a small portion (southern residents) for a larger problem...regressive.
