I am going to ask you guys for one more day,

I am in the process of uploading all the photos online, so that i can share with you the ED in one thread:

First sight of the car from the Premium lounge:

Pretty much completing the whole circuit by now:

There's going to be tons of photos to look at, you might die (of boredom) before finishing all ...

i was really pushing to have something for you all to look this week,
but i guess it's taking a lot more time than expected.

it's actually consuming my time so much... short of staying up all night to do it...
I could not.

I wanted to have a thread out before Bimmerfest comes,
but we are one day away, and i am still not done...

It's ok, Jason has been feeding us a lot of news and material to pass by the time,

I will for sure have something this weekend. (ya right, as if you're going to believe me right ?!)

Thumbs up

News Update:

1) BMW NA doesn't know anything... apparently they got no visibility from Drop-off on
2) My CA in SoCal still hasn't emailed me anything about the current location of my car
3) the TT Transit Car at Drop-off doesn't care where and to whom they transfered my car to

but somehow, i Finally got some sign of life:

I just checked on the WW website:

and apparently, my car got into a boat: The FAUST last Friday on May 18th, 2012 from BimmerHeaven! (BremerHaven)

ETA (estimated Time of Arrival) to Port Hueneme, CA on June 12th, 2012 !!
Less than a month transit !
Less than two month since Drop-OFF

It's currently going from Belgium to England for its 3rd stop, should be there as we speak!

EDIT:
this is a great thread for those of you wanting to track your car from birth to you:
http://www.f30post.com/forums/showth...ighlight=Faust

Those are past pictures of the Faust:

Wink

To complete the circle of life

I just want to add the links here to both of my other threads:

1)
Following the Faust delivering my F30 to the Pacific Coast

2)
Journal of my ED trip

I will be posting photos of my redelivery either here or the ED trip thread.

Question the Finishing touches....

Not knowing what is happening to my car, it has been almost a week now that the car reached Port Hueneme...

Has it passed Customs yet? or is it still there??
My CA hasn't contacted me yet... does she know where it is? is the car already at the dealership??

I have no idea here!

but based on the following...:

what does it mean?

how much more longer??

still no car; riding on patience as usual

After over 8 weeks since drop off ;

here is the situation, (having checked the redelivery process):

Quote:
Hello Mr. DrivenbyE30,

I did hear back from the VPC (Vehicle Prep Center). They are currently working on the repairs you noted on your vehicle conditions report.

The car is currently in the body shop. They are repairing a dent on the right front door and a scratch on the rear bumper. They should be done with the repairs by Tuesday morning. Then the car will go to the work shop for two wheels that need to be replace. The car should be ready by Wednesday morning.

If you want to check with our office next Thursday (as Wednesday is a holiday) we can gladly take a look for you then.

Best Regards,

What didn't you tell us during your 17 day trip!

Good news eventually. You'll be happy in a week from now.

An ED can truly be a once-in-a-lifetime FAMILY experience! Really great to share these moments with the family, but I don't know how comfortable my mother would be driving these roads, let alone, manual shift.

Well, it wasn't worth noting.... i really didn't mind the "damage", nor was i really expecting to have it fixed... they are minor and i just want to get my car back despite those wheels curb rash, and a dent my dad made while opening the door a bit wide...
