It would be cool if it didnt have the M logo. The M logo makes it poser-ish.

I have been contemplating this mod myself but i couldn't justify the 650 - 800 dollar price tag for essentially an interior change that has no benefit in performance at all. I ended up going with a carbon fiber like vinyl wrap and ended up wrapping the entire interior for $29.00. Thats including shipping and tax on the darn thing. Dont get me wrong, i think the alcantra and carbon fiber of the oem kit looks great, just not 800 dollars great and as other have said that M performance stitched on there looks a little tacky imo.

Thanks. I did see this just never read the whole thing as I chalked it up as a DIY.

I know. I'd prefer the whole thing to be c/f.

Me too, but I can tell you that it feels better than vinyl.

I located a couple of individual M3 pieces on the Tischer site, but my personal preference for the interior is for the dry CF in the F30 kit...like you, I could miss the alcantara-///M-sport part. Dunno if all the M3 parts are available somewhere or, more importantly, if they're exactly the same size/shape. I'd imagine that Jason could answer those questions if you're interested. Just bring money.

No kidding. I think it's like $2k. Just need a reputable aftermarket set.

If you search there is a shop that will do it for you for 800 bucks. It will look just like the M series interior. A member got his done and posted pics.

I swapped out the M-Sport Aluminum Hex trim for the CF trim (the dash/doors/idrive kit and also the plate around the shifter). I sold the aluminum trim on ebay for almost as much as I paid for the CF trim. I definitely like the CF much, much more.

Yeah, the M-Performance logo makes me feel a bit poser-ish (I've got a 328d ) but whatever!

Looks nice but wouldn't spend all that money for a trim. As you said better finding an aftermarket one, not keen on wrapped ones.

The quality & fitment is excellent, the carbon weave feels coarse and has a matte effect. In terms of maintenance, the alcantara collects a fair bit of dust, should be fine if you clean it regularly. It's more durable and doesn't scratch like Piano Gloss, Wood & Pearl trim does.

I would recommend getting the M Performance CF trim, although it's a little overprice.

Here's some pics of mine fitted with the complete set.

I would have gotten the M Performance pieces, but the M Performance embroidery was the deal breaker. I also didn't care to spend that much for pieces covered in Alcantara and dry carbon which looked a little much like wannabe fake carbon vinyl wrapping...stuff that I wouldn't let near my car. So I went the slightly more expensive route.

Came out flawless, and I am as picky as it gets when it comes to the carbon weave of anything I buy. It is as perfect as the OEM carbon bits on any of my other cars as well as Overtake parts for the GTR, the most high-end parts available.

Looks amazing. I have heard of these guys. How much and more importantly how long? Looks like you have to ship your trim to them. (Or buy a second set)

You should contact Matt at ocarbon and he'll give you pricing and turnaround info. His communication via email is excellent. He would need stock trim so I bought a spare set and shipped it to him.

To set a proper expectation, it's about $1K.

Yes this is the guy I was talking about. The guy must have changed his price because when I checked with him he said 800 even.
