anyone in Canada looking for a Black Sapphire Metallic lip spoiler, Bimmian has one on clearance for $75: https://www.bimmian.ca/SPES00149
It's regular $229, it says that the clear coat needs refinishing. |

As mentioned in my earlier post, I have a new and unpainted spoiler sitting in my garage. It's not matte black but rather an off beige color.
If anyone is interested LMK. |

I don't think anyone guarantees it. If it is off, then you would still be ahead if you took the spoiler to a body shop to get it reprayed. The Glazier Metallic silver is also a very difficult match to do and mine was spot on. Even the metallic texture was spot on.

Anyone with this spoiler in jet black on an AW F30 care to post more pics of the overall side view of the car?
Thanks!

Ordered mine from eBay emotors2000 listing. I initially was going for the Melbourne Red Metallic to match my car and placed an order, but then got cold feet when I started considering that they inform you at the beginning that the color may be off. So I contacted the seller. He was more than happy to either cancel my order or allow me to switch it to the Carbon Fiber spoiler he sells.
I decided on the CF Lip Spoiler. It installed nicely and looks great on the back of the car. I am glad I did not go with matching. I like the contrast. But that is a matter of personal taste. In any event, the point is that he/she (Kelly Lee) provided excellent communication. In addition, they shipped the spoiler from Taiwan to the Keys in six days. Here are a couple shots. The fitment is great, my installation not so much. I am bringing it to a body shop to have it re-installed so that it sits about a mm to the left. and a little tighter against the body. Can't fault them for my crappy installation. Anything you see on the carbon fiber surface is from my smudgy fingers. The clear coat is crystal clear. |

anyone have issues with the corner edges lifting off? I installed it myself and it started to lift so took it to a body shop and they reinstalled it, using new tape and adhesive promoter but after several months, it's starting to lift again at the corners on both sides. Maybe slight warping of the spoiler and thus the lift?

Can't really advise unless we can see how far the tape with to the edges. Does it change shape with the temperature? If it is cold, try taking a hairdryer to heat it up in a garage and bend it back into place. Could have been a bad batch of Poly that is more susceptible to temperature changes or was pulled out of the mold while it was too warm and warp and you did not notice when you put it on. Are they using the red 3M tape with the red backing? Show us a picture of it lifting. |

No issue with lifting but its been on for only a couple days. I did put adhesive promoter down first and then ran tape all the way out to the furthest edge of the tip. Even though I checked it and it fit perfectly on the trunk lid. When I went to install it I managed to misalign it, I went to readjust it, but it felt like breaking concrete. I can't imagine it will lift from there, however, we will see after the Florida sun has some time with it. I will be sure to post here if it happens.
HKS1610 did the shop put the 3m tape all the way out to the end of the tip... Or as close as the indent will allow? |

I'm in Canada and I purchased the trunk and roof spoiler pack from emotors. Both unpainted.
I decided against this mod, so looking to sell. If anyone here wants. PM me. Will ship anywhere. Looking for $50 for the set plus whatever shipping costs to you. |

for those still deciding between the ebay spoiler and the oem. I've attached a few pictures.
Initially I bought the ebay spoiler. But when I went to the dealership to buy some other parts, they gave me a pretty good deal, so decided to try the oem instead. Both are in the matte black. As you can see, the oem is quite a bit deeper. maybe an inch. The curvature is also a little different. the 2 different spoilers are shaped different. Both fit perfectly. but the angles of the oem are a little different. BUT you can feel an obvious difference between the oem and the ebay. oem feels heavier and a lot sturdier. the plastic is harder. both these are in matte black. and for some reason the ebay one shows finger prints a lot easier than the oem. the oem actually it is hard to give it a good finger print mark. Perhaps a sign of better quality coating on the oem. anyone have questions comparing the 2 please let me know. Can also supply better pictures if you guys want. these pics were taken with my cell phone. |
