Same vehicle shell as for other vehicles but they've removed the plastic liner from behind the filler flap.

I mean, personally I would not go with this bold of a color, but I can appreciate what the owner is trying to do here. I just think if you're spending all that money on a wrap there are cooler options to go with. Frozen Blues look AWESOME!

Yeah it is interesting... I originally wanted frozen silver but decided it was too normal.
Same with blue etc... basically when it drives past it looks blue or silver... frozen or not. You gotta give these things a go... and it is removable. Cost is £1700 if you don't have the door shuts done. Thanks Mat |

Looking forward to the final pics Mat.
Are there any practical follow ups, dos and don't for cleaning etc?

Love it. Your own car should be the colour you want. End of.
Quality of workmanship appears to about as good as it gets. My only reservation would be that I would know it's basically one big sticker and I'd want something more durable and polish-able. I'd have a respray, which judging by the cost indication wouldn't be a great deal more. That opens up all sorts of possibilities, inc flakes and candies etc. Not chavvy lary stuff - it's an M5 ffs, but something like aubergine candy over black metallic base. But you can't peel it off I hear you cry... to which I reply, "see first line of my post"

From the research I did it's actually better to wrap a matt finish than paint one in practical terms. In fact knowing what I do now, if I wanted a new car in matt I would have it wrapped.
This is because paint matching is very hard, and the people who can apply these finishes are not as common. Get a scratch - and you can just get that panel re-wrapped. Mat

I've just been browsing the pwpro website and very impressed with their standard of workmanship. For me a wrap could well be the answer as I tend to swap my cars over everyone 1-1.5 years out of boredom and often losing money in the process. Getting a wrap would be like getting a new car in my opinion and a much healthier option on the finances!

Looks like they are doing a great job as well! Love the colour, not sure I would have the balls to do it (blue or silver or grey maybe). How durable is the vinyl, how does it stand unto scratches/day to day life compared to the paint? Looking forward to more pics.. GBR1 |

We had an M5 wrapped in matt blue for the Geneva show in 2012. Cost something like 4000 Euro, but they did an amazing job, all inside the boot and door shuts etc.
I prefer the yellow though. |

I always think these frozen colours skipped the clear coat process in the paint shop, they just look unfinished, not my cup of tea to be honest. But that M5 in matt Austin yellow

Very interesting and looking good so far.
I wanted the darker San Marino blue from the M6 on my M5 order, which would have cost £2,700 more and, because it would have to go through the Individual program, would add too much time to the delivery for the dealer to guarantee the price, so I opted for the standard Monte Carlo blue. This could well be a more cost effective way of getting the colour I want. I would love to see it in person when its finished. |

I still remember the first frozen colour car I saw, was on holiday in Portugal and a Matt black 911 rolled past very slowly.
I was nearly run over stepping into the road for a look and drooling. A Matt finish looks superb IMO. OPs car is gonna look incredible and Lorcan that blue M5 is sweet!
