replying to get myself on the thread! I would like and make it out to the 12/9 meeting!
Any idea if coding is possible to enable the extended/enhanced bluetooth features on my particular F30? I have bluetooth calls but no way to stream pandora/audio over BT from my phone to the car. last 7 VIN f433839. Thanks! |

I've seen posts that indicate that it can be retrofitted. Check out Bimmer-tech. |

Just to get further understanding, I heard from another user that since my car is equipped with the 6NH Combox Media, that there might be a way to find out if BT streaming and the rest of the enhanced features can be activated in the F30. His reasoning was that in the E90, all the features can be enabled in a combox media and banking on the fact that BMW may have not changed this. Have you come across/heard anything about this? Thanks! |

AFAIK, 6NH does not support enhanced BT, you needed 6NL. From everything I've read, the combox you have just not have the electronics to support BT streaming. See: http://www.f30post.com/forums/showpo...56&postcount=1 Sorry. You also might want to reach out to Patrik at Bimmer-Tech and see what he says. |

All we are doing is enabling features that are already available in the car, but just not activated in US builds for some reason. Things like folding mirrors via the remote/CA, tire pressures screens, etc. Some people are coding to change engine parameters, etc. I could see that voiding the engine warranty. Nothing in the current coding sheet touches the DME. Where some people have also gotten into trouble is when they code additional modules not originally installed on the car (changing the VO), changing the VIN and/or manufacturing date. That messes up the software update process at the dealer, so they have to be careful. When you take the car into service and they update the software in your car, they will return you coded values back to default. You will have to have it coded again to restore your changes. I've had than happen already and they didn't care as it does not interfere with them performing the update. Bottom line is that you yourself have to decide what you want to code and what risk/hassle you are willing to take to have these features. Note: When you take the car into service and they update the software in your car, they will return you coded values back to default. You will have to have it coded again to restore your changes. I've had than happen already and they didn't care as it does not interfere with them performing the update. |

I'll stick around until all the cars are done. The amount of time will depend on how many cars show up and how many things people want to code. It doesn't take very long to do.
