How long from port to dealer?

Hey guys, I already read the timeline thread but couldn't really get an accurate idea of how long it generally takes.

How long does it take to get from Port Hueneme to the dealer (about 50 miles) from personal experience?

My vehicle arrives 11/13/2013 2:00 AM at the port, would it be realistic to take delivery on Friday or sometime this weekend?

I'm not out west, but hopefully this helps you. My port of entry is Brunswick, GA I'm in the Atlanta metro area--roughly 300 miles away. My E92 and F30 took 2 days from hitting port, to arriving at my dealer. My current F32 arrived at port yesterday (Monday) and was released to a carrier today (Tuesday) and is estimated to my dealer by Thursday at the latest (would've been tomorrow, but they didnt have enough cars to fill up a truck load!) hope that helps.

It usually varies between 2-5 days. Although I got mine less than 24 hours after the boat getting to port

On my last two orders (from Baltimore to MO), it took 5 days the first time and 4 days the next (including VPC time) - it should be well under a week for you being so close to the port.

In today and delivered Friday might be a stretch as the dealership needs a day or more to prep it

I'm assuming you did ED? ED usually takes longer to clear customs

My new f30 has been at Brunswick port for about a week now. Dealer said he was expecting it this last Monday. I called bmw and they said its at the port and there is a work order open on it. Not sure what that means....I am having a deck lid installed but that shouldn't take over a week to get done I wouldn't think. Bmw said it should leave the port in 2-3 more days and on its way to my dealer.

I just don't like the sound of a work order....

the fact that they told you Waggoners is handling it---is good news--that means they should have this car within a day or so--and be on its way shortly after that.

hope its soon for you.

435xi Stuck at NJ VPC

My car arrived in NY on 11/7 and is not yet scheduled for transport. When I inquired what the delay was I received the following about a tire issue.

To: General Managers, Sales Managers, Service Managers, Service and Parts Directors, Service Advisors and Shop Foremen,
A Delivery Stop has been issued on certain 2014 model year F30, F31 and F32 vehicles produced during October 2013. Tire identification numbers (molding number and DOT number) must be checked and if necessary, individual tires replaced.
Affected vehicles in center inventory must not be delivered until the tires have been checked. The procedure is currently being finalized.

Has anyone heard about this or having a similar experience?

Thanks
