BMW Drive for a Cause

Man, what an awesome event.

Went last weekend and drove the new 340 M sport with all the M Perf accessories.

Sounded great with the exhaust on there, not a huge difference in power from my 335, but a bit faster and the sound helps with that sense of speed I'm sure.

Also drove the 650GC Msport (sick sick car)
New 750

And a few competitor cars.
Mercedes S550
Porsche Panamera

Overall, a great experience to take advantage of it you get the chance.

And they're donating money to the US Olympic and Paralympic teams for every driver

Plus got a free BMW hat and Canvas grocery bag out of it.

Pretty cool all in all

I'm signed up for this on Thursday. Which car did you sign up for? I signed up for the 340i but Panorama and S550 don't sound like 340i competitors...

The have a 6 series and 7 series. You get to drive all the cars

I think you may be misinformed. Historically, this promotion has resulted in 1K off a vehicle, but I don't believe that's the case for this year.

My dealer called me 2 days later and told me they were doing $1000 off a new car.

Asked if I was interested.

Might be individual dealers maybe then.

It's the same crew of staff/people going around the country by the way. Super cool people.

Looks like the dealer is privately offering you 1K off the selling price, but this isn't a BMWNA program I don't think.

UNLESS, it's part of the July 2016 lease/finance rates that just haven't been finalized/found their way to the internet yet

Honestly the s550 was a lot nicer than the 7 series. Didn't drive as nice but the interior was much more luxurious. This was the only time the competitors car beat BMW.

For those asking about 1000$ incentives, it doesn't exist this year. Even if it did, you can't use it on a car that's already been ordered.

The lease residuals went up 3% for 36/12k a month leases since last month

I requested this info in another thread but it doesn't seem to have been confirmed yet, other than by doing the math on residual divided by MSRP here.

For a 36/10 it's looking like 66%, so 36/12 can't also be that high.

Not confirmed but I heard 36/12 is 65% and 36/15 is 63%. Wasn't it 62% and 60% last month?

The S is always more froufrou than the 7er, but never drives as well. At least now the 7er is a lot closer in froufrou and still has the driving advantage.
