Speaker mount difference between 'base' and 'Hi-fi' stereo?
I was looking around Bavsound, and noticed that the Midrange speakers seemed to have different mounts:
Base: BAVSOUND 100mm Offset Mount 3-Leg Midrange, integrated Filter Hi-fi: BAVSOUND 100mm 3-Leg Midrange I only ask because I have the Base stereo, and price difference for the front and rear midrange speakers are $95 different. Hifi: $276 Base: $371 Will the Hifi speaker fit my Base? Thanks

Front and rear HiFi mid speakers fit the Stereo system. In fact, front/rear door mid speakers use exactly the same 3-hole mount type regardless of OEM sound system.
Only the rear deck and center mids use a different type of 3-hole mount. Quote:

You need the filters on the front otherwise it won't sound right.
The hifi has an amp so it handles this as far as I know. If you get the wrong speakers, it won't sound right. I also have the base stereo and bought the S1 base stereo upgrade. It works great. |
