Bootmod3 start problems
Hey guys help me out real quick I recently got my car flashed to stage 2 91 octane agg and when i turn it on it sputters etc... what could be the problem I had a dme tamper code but removed negative cable from battery but cleared the code did the online recode but still nothing car turns on but rough idle sputters etc....

I have the same problem. Please join bootmod3 facebook page. They are working on my DME code, but not sure if they working on my sputter/misfire. You can post online and let them know you have a problem aswell (Ive posted my issue online on facebook).
DME code will only go away when you flash to stock AND LOCK dme. They are working to get the DME code to not appear while modded. facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1995...82747/?fref=nf |

Did the car sputter before the flash or after?
You mentioned you flashed first than did the Negative battery pull. DID the car sputter right after the initial flash? Or did it only sputter after you pulled the negative battery and restarted the car? Since you have JB4. Is the map made to run with JB4? If so, try unplugging the MAF sensor(if you have one) and seeing how the car starts again. If it still sputters try to remove the JB4 to rule out that is the issue. Do you get any misfire codes? Check the code reader in BM3 data and JB4. Report back to each line to better assist you. |

To clarify, is it only on the tune? What happens if you flash stock? Do you have a stock LPFP?

OP, I had dme tamper code. Guys at bootmod worked with me and got it resolved. It was a issue of our dme version and it is now fixed. Delete your OTS maps and redownload them fresh. Then reflash the desired map.
Although I still do have datalogging problems and first start takes long, but I do have a open ticket about that. |

It sounds great, but haven't gotten to enjoy it, yet. Halim, who is planning on tuning me, is working only on the BM3 OTS maps right now, so I have to wait till he's done.

Not really. None of this affecting the timing chain wear. The only thing that affects that is how often the car is driven, started, etc. I coded out AS/S awhile back. I'm around 86k, been modded this hard for about 15 to 20k. I do a check every 500 to 1k miles though, listening for the sound.

Yes, but it's a shitty warranty extension. I'm already out of that, but I'm still covered by CPO. 7 Years or 70k Miles is a joke... Hopefully they win that class-action lawsuit and BMW does a recall for a CATASTROPHIC failure. Until then, check it for the noise and the moment it pops up, I'm taking it in for replacement. Now I'm crossing my fingers it happens before the CPO is up.
