Opinions on mod...

So I was planning on vinyl wrapping my rear bumper but decided to try plast-dip. Figured it was reversible and could save myself a few hundred bucks. I would say it came out about 95%, with the hardest part being crispy lines. What do you guys think?

Looks good from far, but plasti dip usually looks far from good up close , especially on larger areas...fun for wheels or maybe color match the reflectors, but I'd stay away from it on body panels ...

I don't think it would cost much to do a carbon fiber wrap or gloss black on such a small piece and would look and feel 100 times better then plasti dip.

Agreed. I'm going to wrap it, but not for $200. I'll keep looking...

Do you think matte black or gloss would look better? Maybe gloss to match the spoiler and roof?

Def gloss...matte finishes have a tendency to stain easily.

Gloss black if your spoiler and roof is gloss. Was pondering the same thing years ago for an E92 m sport rear diffuser. Body shop recommended trim black/matte black for the factory look but I decided to go with gloss and it matched perfectly with my gloss black roof and spoiler. It will look real good on your car since your car is white. And don’t forget about the shadow line trim and the mirrors have gloss black in the base of them as well.

Awesome thanks. Just pulled the dip off

Emailed my vinyl shop for a quote. Will shop around as well.

This. ^

It'll be nice and good for a cheap fix but you probably want to wrap at the end.

Agreed. I pulled the dip off because it didn't look perfect up close. It looked nice from about 5FT away but I can't live with that. I'm waiting on a few quotes and will get it wrapped hopefully this week including the front "whiskers".

I like the look, but in all honesty wrap it yourself it's not that hard

Not a bad touch at all. Looks good. Agree with wrap it yourself. Not difficult to do. Practice with a small piece on an object or something.
