Check engine light / drivetrain malf after coding Sport+

I am having an issue after coding sport auto trans, but not a clue where to start resolving the error I encountered after it successfully added.

I updated SALAPA under FA with a new code (removed 205, added 2TB), then saved and coded it. Got an error WDBI_PLAIN returned a negative response error although Sport+ was coded, tested, and found to be working. However in response to trying to remove this error I coded it back to factory. Error still persists.

I did not adjust any of the FDL files prior to this change. I am using E-sys 3.27 with V58.0 PSDZD. This software is newer than the version that came with my year 14 vehicle.

I inadvertently posted this outside of this area and received a response inquiring if I had green circles in all of my modules. The answer is NO! Most of them I do, but I did find the DME (which I now think is the problem) does not, neither does FEM_GW, and perhaps 1 other module. None of those modules had changes, as they are not needed to implement Sport+, but after coding it I now have a fuel system error / drivetrain malfunction error. Could the missing DME CAFP file be it? Sorry if i'm killing the acronym, I am not in front of E-sys.

When the accessories are on JUST prior to actual start, I can now hear what I suspect is the fuel pump, and it does not shut off unless the ignition is off.

I backed up my CAPF? CAFP files but neglected my SVT files unfortunately before I ever changed anything. Is it possible that I can somehow get the CAFP files which are missing back in the tree of modules?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Sport+ is thus far awesome, and on my x-drive although there is no active suspension that I am aware of, my car has ceased to float down mostly smooth roads like a 82 Eldorado and stiffened up a bit. I could be crazy, but I am 1000% sure something happened that literally makes this car drive with a solid feel now, one which allows me to feel the road more. My steering also seems to be a tad bit heavier in that mode to. I thought Sport+ was only accelerator sensitive and a faster more solid shift. Chassis stabilization errored when I first turned on Sport+. It has sense gone away.

Thanks again all!

Try using Tool32 to clear the code. Search the forum, there is a huge thread about how to do it.

I have found the solution from another forum member.

Car was running during VO coding, so I lost my CAFP file for DME. Fix was to

read FA> activate FA > run SVT...> left click on DME ECU > run Detect CAF for SWE > Choose a recent applicable CAFP file > left click DME ECU > right click code.

Fixed my fuel system malfunction, drive train malfunction, and engine light. All is well.

Thanks plenty for the responses

Hey guys, I have run into the same issue, but following these steps is not working, any ideas on what the cafd should read? Also now I have two cafd options under dme.

Did you try each CAFP file in the list in the last step? I found only 1 out of the 5 in the list worked for me. So I had to repeat this process several times trying each file.

Also, perform this only with the car off, but wth the accessories on. The fuel system errors when it's in use and the coding is changed during this specific process

This is the link I used for my specific problem. I am pretty new to coding. I had my car running when I coded DME, which you cannot do. I'm not sure if you did that as well, but I crashed my DME. So, I had to reinsert the CAFD files for it back into the tree.

Check out the thread and see if it makes sense.

Thanks a ton for your help. I'm not sure what exactly I did, but this seems to have fixed it other than still having a CEL, but I don't have time to look at it at the moment. Hopefully it will go away after a little bit like yours did. Thanks for the help.
