F31 Xdrive 330d Touring - Just arrived
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com After many many months of looking at the cracking cars on here, my 330D Xdrive Msport Touring has arrived! Here are some pics (apologies for the poor quality - dim light on the first day!). Having spent so long pondering the options list, I am very pleased with the car I have purchased. I love the colour combination, with the red seats. The performance is fantastic, with such great economy too. The grip and drive from the Xdrive is so far fantastic, much better than my Mercedes C320. Living in Scotland, I am trying to decide whether I should get some winter wheels and tyres, and keep the existing alloys away from the salt and spray over the winter. My last cars alloys suffered from severe corrosion from the salt they put on the roads here. Does anybody have any suggestions on the minimum size alloys that the optional Msport calipers can clear (18"?) Other than that I am delighted with the car as is Cheers Ian |

Thanks very much guys. I washed it this morning ready for some better pictures and then the torrential rain came on!
I've had it 4 days now and really loving it. The steering and corning ability is brilliant, with effortless power. The auto gearbox in this is so much sharper and instantaneous than the one in my Mercedes C320. I meant to add some of the spec: MSport plus package (19" alloys, brakes, etc) Advanced parking package Interior comfort package Media package professional Visibility package Electric towbar Pano Sunroof Electric folding mirrors Rear sunblinds Electric memory seats + lumbar Heated seats MSport Braking System Adaptive MSport Suspension Strangely one of my favourite things so far is the tow bar, its a work of art how it folds out and in! (easily pleased!) Driving it fairly easy so far, until the 2000kM bedding in period is over. Fuel economy so far is around 38-39MPG for short journeys around the area - so I have not been able to check a longer run. I am hoping once the engine loosens up a little the economy will improve a little. However, still not bad considering the performance available. I had been wondering whether I should have waited for the 335d, however, after driving the 330d, I'm not sure much more is needed (for me anyway!). Will be interesting to see how the car copes once the snow arrives! More pictures to follow once the rain clears (probably have to wash it again! ) Cheers Ian |
