Cross bar wrap anyone?

I wrapped one of my crossbars with dark blue textured vinyl and it looked amazing! However, I had no idea if it will be easier to remove in case I want to take it off so I immediately removed it, which was hard even just after a few minutes but it was freezing that day.

Has anyone done this before and how hard was it to remove it later on, without scratching the paint off of the crossbars?

heat is your friend when removing vinyl. even a hairdryer will help you pull it off

It'll snow here tomorrow but the weather should be warm enough next week for me to do it, will post pictures afterwards. I did wrap one few weeks back just to see how it looks and it was super cold so just removed it and didn't finish the job, it's hard when you're freezing

Looks cool! I'm wrapping it in textured dark blue.

when i read cross bars i thought of roof rack bars and was curious. i never understand why people want those bars behind the grills to stand out even more.

Did you wrap it with one long piece or did you do it in parts? The lower end is a bit tricky.

One long piece. It did take me a few times to figure out the best way to do it. But you really dont need it to be super wide. I started on the front of the bar, then just wrapped down and around.

Exactly my thoughts - they are invisible & IMO that's a good thing

But to each his own...
