N20 stuttering on cold start !

Hey guys so I'm posting this on behalf of my friend as he doesn't have an account yet

he is complaining from this stuttering on a cold start but rpm stays same
he went to dealer and they told him there had to be CEL for us to know
does anyone know what that might be

his mods are
afe intake, scoop, tbs
JB4
ER catless+M perf. exhaust
ER fmic+ CP
DV+

I had something like that where rpms would drop to about 500 rpm and then surge up to 1200 rpm. The dealership couldn't do anything because they couldn't replicate it at the end of winter. It happened twice and the second time actually started jerking and went below 500 rpm and then stalled.

could the jb4 be clearing the CEL?

That's how it started for it, and it was failed fuel injector in the end...

Also, if you can smell the fuel once the car gets warmed and sitting in place know that it's a same thing.

Good luck, and push dealership to check fuel injectors as this is apparently it's a know issue...
