IRS Fraud calls

949-463-2574

I kept getting an automated message from this number 2-3 times a week. I finally decided to call it back, and it was 100% a fraud. I gave them a fake name and they told me I committed IRS tax fraud from 2010-2014. I kept entertaining the guy and when he finally asked me how I am willing to pay, I told him I have to ask my mom and dad. He asked how old I was, I told him I was 15. Then admitted to being a fraud and repeated cursed at me.

I got a laugh out of it, but still can't believe these scum bags. How do people fall into their traps?

Update***I have been calling them and messing with them. They disconnected the number

I've been receiving the same calls. Mines actually come from 3 diffrent numbers. South Carolina, New Jersey and Missouri according to my phone. I added all 3 numbers to the reject list on my Verizon account and it stopped.

"We'd like to speak to mumblemumblemuble. Please call us back"

Well, I don't know anyone named mumblemumblemumble, so I ain't alling back. And it's the home land line, I don't think ANYTHING legitimate comes into that line any more.

I get these too and lately it seems to be in increasing numbers!

The 949 area code is Orange County, CA; wish mine came from there - mine always show somewhere back East.

Yeah, those are too funny. I've had several clients call in a panic and they need to be calmed down because they've literally just heard the fraudster say the police (or sometimes Mounties lol) will be there in 30 minutes so don't leave the house.

I really don't get it, but they must sound convincing on the phone.

Our home office has been getting a lot of the calls that proclaim to be Microsoft computer techs and they need to "update" the computers that they initially setup.

Me - "I AM the computer tech for this company"
Him - "No sir I am and we are getting notifications that the computers have viruses."
Me - "Haha, I ordered and setup these computers myself"
Him - "Sir your computer is at risk"
Me - "If you don't stop making fraudulent calls to us I will get the authorities involved!" Then hang up. Asshats.

They use buzz words and try to make it sound alarming but if you listen to it carefully you can find lots of gaps that are there because they clearly are not who they claim to be.

I sent it around my office cause they called me at work and left a voicemail. We all had a good laugh.

I've had those before and I take it up by repeatedly calling them and rudely questioning them...over and over again and they get so many calls by me they hang up as soon as they hear me start talking. And i keep calling until i hear the intense exhasperation in their voice. They haven't called back in a couple years.

Honestly Im contemplating changing my number because I'm getting spam calls all fucking day. I never answer unless it's one of my contacts, but still having my phone ring 24/7 is getting real annoying.

You need to sign up on the donotcallregistry. Once you are on that list you will get less calls and can report repeat offenders. I have gotten paid by offenders... $1000 one time.

The ones I hate the most are those vehicle warranty calls. Those people never shut the fuck up and call so many times and mail annoying letters. I keep blocking the numbers but they change them so often.

I think you'd enjoy LewisTech on YouTube. He makes some hilarious videos trolling tech support scammers.

Yup, I got that one too.

The thing is, if it were a legitimate call it would never state the problem, they would just say to call them back urgently.

But yet some people still fall for it.

I spent a solid 20 minutes on the phone with one of them then proceeded to mock them.

Needless to say, they were not thrilled.

Make them carve you something from wood and then you'll send them your bank routing information.
