M Sport Front Options

ONCE AGAIN .... my car was scrapped while parked on the front bumper street side im guessing by some idiot trying to park head in or just a plain idiot. Point is im considering my options. Tischer has the OEM M SPort Front for $1150 Shipped with everything needed for the conversion. I already have M Sport Rear and Sideskirts from them when someone damaged my rear bumper, luckily there was a report of an accident and that person was made fully responsible. This time im on my own since I have no idea who did this. I found a listing on ebay for the full M sport front bumper for $500 shipped. Now i know this is not OEM therefore im wondering has anyone purchased this before or knows someone that has and is it worth it. If I end up paying for this out of pocket and not going through my own insurance this can save me a lot of cash. Im worried if I file i claim on the comprehensive insurance my premium may go up. Secondly there will be a second accident reported to my car which can suck later on if I plan to trade it in. What you guys think. Ill post pics of the damage.

Beyond that im willing to sell my bumper with a CF front lip so anyone interested make me an offer. im in NYC and ill take anything reasonable. I paid $400 for the lip earlier this year.

That sucks indeed. I'd be going OEM. Like you said, there's a bunch of bits and pieces required for the retrofit. To me, that increases the likelihood that the copy will have problems.

It looks like you have put a lot of effort into the car, I think you should go OEM, the car looks great and if the non-OEM has problems (ie it doesn't look quite right or fit properly), you're going to have wasted $500 and will have to fork out more to put it right. Just eat bread and water for a few weeks and save up!

Chinese replica... ill be selling it soon .... they still running about $500 on ebay shipped I paid $400 ... .id let it go for less obviously.... think about it and let me know
