tpms coding not working

335D pro nav

so i coded a few things they all work fine. but ive coded tpms and in the tpms section of idrive i can see the car with 4 green tyres but no pressure numbers or anything. i went and pumped them up and did a reset to see if that licked it in but it did not. also not showig while driving.

any ideas? cheers

You need wheel sensors and I believe a transmitter to detect pressures and send the data to the iDrive system.

Don't have on my car but that's my understanding.

What is your car build date? For the UK market, Anything before week 10 2014 (7march 2014) does not have the necessary TPMS hardware in wheels valves (transmitter) or wheel arches (receiver). In that case it uses a different method to establish a puncture by comparing relative wheel rotation speed via the ABS sensors.
Coding won't enable wheel specific TPMS monitoring I'm afraid

Certainly was for the F2xx, not sure of the others but you would have thought it'd been the same.

I don't think so.
teaston has a week 9 2014 (1-7 March 14) build car and iirc he had the old style runflat monitor.
My car was built week 10 (10 March 14) and has the new individual TPMS system.
There were idrive changes at that point too.

The TPMS system was rolled out earlier (2012) in the states due to legal requirements

You might just have been unlucky and just missed it.

Did your car come with the metal bodied valve stems or traditional rubber ones?

If let latter then you definitely don't have the hardware in every wheels and suspect not in the chassis.

If you use the vin decoder you will be able to establish the actual build date and options on the car and that should confirm the presence or other wise of the RDC TPMS dystem

Mine was built end of February 2014, TPMS (and BT streaming) came in from start of March.
