Bought a carbon fiber spoiler... with no car

Now what is wrong with me?!?!? I bought a carbon fiber spoiler, and.... my car isn't even here yet!

That's some messed up priorities since I don't consider myself a moder or enthusiast... Can't stop looking at it though..

I feel your pain - I've already purchased several parts and my car won't be here for another month. so which spoiler is this? Looks nice.

Nice, I may have to consider that one. $200 for real carbon fiber isn't bad. Can't believe the M-perf one is $500+. Can't be that much difference in quality.

Now that you have it in hand, how would you rate the quality?

now wait and see how long the clear coat on it last before you have to remove and get it cleared again...

Yeah, you pay for what you get, but it will be opti-coated with the car.

Curious to see how fitment is for this piece.

OP, have you tested this on someone's f30 already? If so, post pics!

I had one on previous E92, carbon fiber and 3M tape, no problem at lease return, I think they don't mind it at all.

Phew thank god this is great news. I desperately have been wanting to add a spoiler and front lip especially since I just lowered my car

I just test fitted it on my F30 ( picked her up on Sat ) and it does fit very precisely from one end of the trunk to the other. One thing though is that it does flex upwards if I just lay it on the car.... not much but a bit. With a continuous strip ( actually 2 ) of 3m tape I'm sure it will stay down. The seller said I should install it in a semi-heated garage at least and to ensure that its not sitting in the rain a few days after its installed. Since its been raining off and on here in TO, I have not installed it.

Bought the same one.. Thanks for the heads up. Arrived today and the quality is very good. Not sure where BMW is getting theirs, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was from the same source. This Spoiler has all kinds of markings on it. F30, Quality Control Stramp, and such. I've bought a few spoilers in the past and this one looks like a factory part. The others I bought look like they were made in someone's garage.

Once it gets over 12 degrees I’ll put it on and post up some pictures..

Shouldn't be an issue. They can be removed and not damage the car's finish.

Thanks you for reassuring me. I emailed my CA 2 days ago, he gave me the go ahead. Looks like I'll be ordering soon

Okay, sorry it took so very long to do this...

I finally got a break of no snow, and no rain and a long enough stint of warm enough for me to do this.

Not super sunny photos, but you get the idea.

As for fit, it was actually really good. As per the seller, I started from both outside ends in - pulling/peeling the tape cover from underneath.

Looks great! Overall thoughts/impressions? Do you think it sticks too far off the back of the car?
