Instrument Panel in Leather

So now that the M3 and M4 are out, we know they're configurable with full leather on the dash and door tops, which really classes up an otherwise chintzy cabin. I was on BMW UK's website and configured a 335i Luxury wagon with the same option, leather on the dash and doors. My configuration is with Individual leather, but the full leather is available with regular Dakota leather as well. If the 3-series is now configurable this way from the factory, could I, in the United States, order an Individual 3-series with leather on the dash and doors?

Here's my config:

Oh I can only hope I have full sensatec on my dash. I just visited a Mercedes dealer the other day and I sat in those 80K cars and the dash just seemed cheap because they are rubber. It doesn't matter if they are soft touch - those rubber texture just look cheap. I am still amazed how people put up with rubber dash on luxury cars.

That looks sweet! the only thing holding me off on a new 335 is the dash cheapness and the lack of imperial blue for m sport (which is ridiculous because its not an individual color AND can be had on all trims except m sport)

My guess is you're looking at $3,000+ to get it.

In Poland it is a $1,500 option, so I am guessing $1,000 in the US, if they made it available.

It will not be made available in the U.S. as a regular option. It will require special approval through BMW Individual and it will not be cheap.

In Poland the $1,500 is an individual option, however I am uncertain how the US system works, so you may be right.

If I understand correctly in the US you can veto any car before delivery? if this is true, it would explain why the option selection is limited. However does the individual system work differently?

On the topic of the leather dash, if you go for full Merino leather interior, for a little more you can opt for leather dash WITH contrasting stitching AND leather at the tops of the doors - that is what I opted for - a full review and an opinion on if it sucks or rocks in about a month when I get the car.

I can understand that for many all black is dark and depressing, but I'm waiting for this. It will be interesting to see if the leather dash can improve the impression of the quality of the interior.

Oh bah I didn't know RoW already had 335 F31s guess we still won't be getting them in the states. Leather instrument cluster sure looks nice but if the model options stay as they have, it will probably be an individual option.

I have spec'd this on my 4 series as the interior quality is the one weakness in my mind.
