I cannot imagine the up take to be that high with the 8AT being good and traffic/personal in car distractions being at all time highs.
saying that, this is an enthusiast site and the % should be higher than the buying public. |

I enjoy the manual. There will come a time when we're all driving some kind of automated gearbox, so I guess a part of me is saying enjoy manual whilst you still can. My driving doesn't involve too much heavy traffic, and sometimes it's great fun to take the long way home and enjoy interacting with the car.

Curious how the mileage changes in the Eco/comfort/sport/sport+ modes since only the throttle and steering are changed with the MT.
I theorized that I could still enjoy sport mode with less mileage hit over comfort compared to 8AT. Coming from a 6mt 545i I am sure I will be happier at the pumps. FYI delivery on jan 2 |

Had a BMW 6MT with BMWP short shift kit previously. Really liked it.
Have the 8AT on my 328i Sport now. Don't miss the 6MT in this set up. If I was tracking my car like I used to I'd consider a MT, but not for this limo. |
