wheel damaged in transport
I received word from my CA that the 328i xDrive that I ordered 2 months ago has a wheel damaged in transit. The car is sitting in Baltimore port after arriving on 02/21. It arrived on Endurance which took 3-4 days longer than usual. I am told that it will take another 2 weeks to replace the wheel and get the car to the dealership.
I want to know if this is normal and if replacing the wheel reduces the resale value of the car. I also don't know if there was any other damage to the car. Should I just take delivery of the car after 2 weeks or should I look at other options? Last edited by vkat87; 02-26-2014 at 09:36 PM.. |

They'll just replace the entire wheel, nobody will ever know besides you. I'm sure this happens a fair amount… nothing to worry about.
Like Dan said, just make sure you give the car a good look when you take delivery.
