Traction is a major issue with these cars when you go over 300lbft even with the xi. This is heavier than a 328i and the test is also 0-62 mph, not 60mph.

If the 0-100 time hasn't improved by a second or more, IMO, this isn't a worthwhile mod. That being said, it reportedly is almost getting otherwise stock cars into the low 13's. That's pretty great.

I wonder if the Msport models with 255mm rubber can do better with the traction

You're right about the traction and the 0-62, I've missed that.

If the Stage 2 would give me a clean 5.0s 0-60 (six zero) on a stock car, I would buy it.
The ultimate judge is the butt dyno. It is the reason I would take a slower diesel over a (slightly) faster gasoline: that freakin' torque makes you feel like you're going much faster

The 4.9 stage 1 I am sure was properly driven, like magazines do with a launch.

Here we have an XI which is heavier as said and requires a 3100rpm or so launch.

A soft launch on the street, 5.0 is pretty good.

That's metric Nm, so lbf-ft = 0.737 x Nm
