Squeaking from sun roof partition???
I think I finally figured pinpointed an annoying squeak/creek to the sunroof partition. At first I thought it was the sunroof itself but after lubing the seals the sound remained even with the sunroof open. I can minimize the sound by putting some downward pressure on the partition, though the sound never completely goes away. Whether the partition is fully or partially open/close the squeak remains. Anyone have recommendations on how to resolve annoying problem??
On a related note, though I really like my 428GC, this is by far the noisiest (not road noise) car I have ever owned. There is a continual symphony of creaks, groans, squeaks, and rattles with this car. I was hoping to keep this car for a while but these noise issues is driving me nuts and making me consider selling it as soon as I find another car that catches my eye.

Bummer to hear that. I don't have any creaks/squeaks/groans on my car...(yet). The only complaint I have are the RFTs driving me crazy on grooved payment. On newly surfaced asphalt, they're fine. Granted, the car barely has 7800 miles on it but it seems pretty buttoned up.....

Is it the part by the rear done light, I had a sound like something keep on sticking, just fixed it last night.
I followed the tips from the link below and used some thick double sided tape to wedge in between the gaps and it's stopped. http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1058997 |
