Well, I know its been a full year since I promised a full review. My plan had been to wait until a I tracked the car. Unfortunately, I still have yet to get on track. Until I do that, I will simply say that I am still very pleased with these. They are firm but not harsh except on very rough surfaces--which is to be expected. I got through an entire Chicago winter with no problems, which includes a lot of city driving.

Hopefully this summer, I will have time to do a track event or two. When I do, I will be sure to post a review. However, for now, I can say when I have been able to push the car a bit around some higher speed corners, it feels extremely sure footed. It's the best handling street car I've driven by far including my prior e36 M3. This suspension has exceeded my expectations thus far and I can't wait to see what it's like on track.

Good to read a positive review from a respected source...
I am on the verge of pulling the trigger on these, and I am booked for a couple track days in a few weeks.

We wish more of our customers will write reviews or spend some time here, but some just refuse to be on the forums...Most of them are motorcycle guys and they know how well Ohlins work so it's a no brainer to have them on their BMW cars.

+1. How many total xDrive owners vs. RWD owners are enthusiasts?

Given that it's nearly impossible to get AST in the USA and have after sales support. Ohlins is the way to go for a monotube high pressure single adjustable coilover kit.
Regarding reliability, what makes the Ohlins more reliable?

Also, the specified drop (front 15mm and rear 20mm) is from base suspension or from the Sport suspension (10mm drop from base)? I'm looking for something that can be close to OEM ride height. I know the M Performance Suspension is a 10mm drop from the base suspension.
M Performance is 20MM from. Base and 10MM from sport suspension

Let us know if you have specific questions regarding the Ohlins.

Where do I start. Recently installed Ohlins R&T on my 2013 335i. (Although I have heard good things about HP Auto sports I have never dealt with them personally. Brother works for a company that sells them otherwise would have ordered from them.)

What I can comment is the overall satisfaction of the coil over system. Having driven a RS4 with KW V3(for a year) I thought it would be the same but harsher. Could't be more contrary to how I feel about this setup. Chicago has some really bad streets and they have worked perfect so far. Personally I have the settings a little harsher solely for the fact that the generous sidewalls of my 235/40 and 265/35 cup 2 tires absorb a lot.

There is no question they are better than stock in every way. Genuinely feel the f30 chassis and these coil overs are a perfect match for each other. Plus the technology for these is straight from touring cup.

Forget all the other coilovers and go straight for these. Even if you need to save up and wait longer.

P.S. the speed at which I went over speed bumps prior was a slow crawl at best. Currently adjusting the speed to slightly less than cruising speed is all that's need, it's remarkable.

Thanks for the heads up. Must have been some of a glitch with our web store as I can see it on the back end of the store, but not the public site.

Thanks!

Out of curiosity, do you know of a good way to find who (and where) would be able to rebuild these shocks? (Preferably Maryland area).

I was originally thinking about going with the M Performance Suspension kit due to my car being my daily driver but now my employer provides a car for my daily commute.

The only thing that would possibly hold me back would be how much downtime I would experience in getting these rebuilt.

We have been selling Ohlins R&T since 2009 and only had two request to rebuild so far. For street duty it will likely last many years.

One of our local customer has an E9x M3 that tracks just about every other weekend and is going on 4 years and 50K miles without any issues. On top of that he has gone from a 336 lb/in to 450 lb/in front and 672 lb/in to 900 lb/in rear. Buttonwillow isn't a very smooth track and the dampers really take a beating.

My 1M had the Ohlins on it for 2 years before I sold it and my customer is still on them 2 years later with mostly street miles.

I can attest to that...

This is a smoking deal for a fantastic set of coil overs!

+1.

At only $800 over the M Performance Suspension Kit, I definitely would consider.

By any chance any word on if Ohlins decided to make something for an X drive car? I know I should start another thread but need aftermarket replacement for factory 2013 335xi tension rod bushings, any suggestions.

No, not that I am aware of.

It doesn't hurt to call and express your interest though.

HP Autosport, would these fit LCI 3/4 Series as well? (340/440/etc.)
