Difference with M6 Paddle Shifters?

Can anyone comment on the difference between the f30 sport paddles and what's on the m6? I'm looking at potentially upgrading but I don't know how significant of a difference it would make. I haven't even got delivery yet but I would like to use the paddles as much as possible. If the f30's are great by themselves then I probably wouldn't see the use...but I haven't seen the m6 either.

Does anyone have an opinion on the matter?

I believe the M6 paddles are thinner...

I sat in an M6 in the dealership and they looked amazing on the thinner spoked M6 wheel. Not sure how they look on our sport wheels, particularly since we have the bigger/fuller bottom spoke on our wheel.

The Paddles feel very cheap/loose/plastic to me on my F30.

Really? They are awesome on mine. The steel feels smooth and well designed to the touch. I love em.

Is it worth $250 to upgrade?

The only thing I would change with the F30's paddles would be adding a little length to the top. That's it. When I have my hands at 10 and 2 I have to hit the paddles with my pinkies or move my hands down. But I still love them regardless.

Well, depends on the person, but $250 is nothing. That's about 1 month's gas depending on where you live and how far you drive. Also, I knew I would use them as I use to drive stick. I've adjusted my hand position and I keep my hands at about 9 and 3 so I use them for sure. As I said, it depends on the person. I drive 98% in sport or sport+ and exclusively use the paddles, unless I'm putting the car in park or reverse.

I doubt an M6 steering wheel will work on an F30, at least not without serious modification. The M6 is a 7 speed DCT, and the F30 is a 8 speed SportAutomatic. Why not look at the steering wheel that comes with the F30 MPPK?

I would be just installing the paddle shifters. I thought it was plug and play with the f30 m sport, sport auto
