Opinions on CF on BSM (Grilles/Mirrors/Spoiler)

Looking to get some opinions on CF vs Color matching on my BSM 328xi M Sport I'll be getting in a few weeks.

I generally like the look of carbon fiber but concerned it may look out of place with the BSM and don't see too many pictures on here of how it looks. I think the one thing I would do though is go all out CF if I do it - so probably the grilles, mirrors and rear spoiler...and maybe interior wrap over the aluminum hexagon.

Is that too much?

I think it would look awesome and in fact I also have a BSM 335i and I just got an email that after 4 weeks waiting my BMW CF spoiler is on the way. I also have CF splitter as well. Still on the fence on the mirror caps but I am considering it. I went with the CF/alacantra int. too and love it. I will post pics next week when I get a chance to install the spoiler and splitters.

Which CF splitter did you get?

...on a side note I think BSM is the perfect color for CF since its a subtle transition.

Mine is Mineral Grey, so I'm not sure how much these pics help you. I just had the CF spoiler put on. As you can see, it blends in significantly with MG. You really have to get close to see that it's not body color. As CF is a combination of grey and black, I think you will find that it blends in nicely.

PS: Sorry for the crappy pic quality.

Looks good, what spoiler did you get? I'm looking at this 'package' from SC Dynamics.. a vendor on here, their spoiler looks significantly smaller than yours.

It's the OEM M Performance CF spoiler. The dealer put it on for free along with black grilles and the CF shifter, because they screwed up and ordered 8AT instead of 6MT.

It is definitely more pronounced than I expected looking at pictures beforehand. Makes a huge difference in the rear end appeal.

Ok cool good to know. That's a Lot bigger than the SC dynamics one. Alot more expensive too. I'll have to see..

Agreed. I don't know that I would have paid for the OEM when there are plenty of more reasonable substitutes out there.

I may have the dealer do the install though just to make sure it's perfect. We tried it last night and didn't quite get it right on my buddies. Whoops. You can barely notice the gap on one side but it's not lined up 100% correctly

Got a great deal on an OEM spoiler and bought some CF splitters on Ebay. Not overly happy with the splitters but I will see how they look once mounted. If they're no good then I'll just go in another direction.

Interesting..how much did you pay for that great deal? Does the seller have more postings? I could see how going OEM on CF might make more sense given that these companies are cutting corners every where on the normal spoilers that CF just makes them even cheaper.

Here are a few pics on my BSM. I think it looks perfect. It almost looks black at times and a very deep grey other times, depending on the way the light hits it. I did not mount it yet. I just dry fitted the spoiler on the car for now until I have my front bumper done over to do the front plate delete. Sorry for the crappy cell pics. This again is the OEM BMW spoiler. Got it for 387.00 shipped to my door. Only downside was it took 2 months but apparently they are backordered nationwide.
