yellow fluid on the wheels?
Today after I came home I noticed there's some yellow fluid on one of the wheels. But when I looked closer, I realized the fluid actually came out from under the BMW emblem...and it came out when the wheel was spinning...It seems it's mostly water, not sure what's the yellow stuff though. I've only had the car for about 5 days.
I just sent the dealer the photos, but I guess I won't hear back from them until next Monday. Does anyone here know what it might be? Thanks. |

hm....I'd not expected it to be rust since i've only had it for 5 days.
It's only happening on one wheel (driver's rear)...and it looks like it's coming from behind the emblem. |

I read somewhere that this is normal when the car is new,
After a couple of car washes and rain it will go away. Ofcourse this happened when I got my X3 last year.

Yes indeed - perfectly normal. Same with mine. It does go away. Mine is a November 2012 build and now has 3,000 km on it. Hardly ever have any seepage from the wheel hubs anymore.

I also have some yellowish stuff on my wheels when brand new, but with a few washes those are gone, it looks like some lubricants used by the robots/equipments while installing wheels.
