Michelin Super Sports on F30 335 Xdrive
Hey guys, new to the group. I also just switched from stock 18" RFT's to 19" PSS's and Modulare b18 wheels
First few days of driving, pretty disappointing. If I throttle up fast and hit any kind of imperfection or bump in the road it will loose some traction and my traction control light will flash for a few. Cornering is significantly improved from y RFT, but the constant traction control interference is pretty frustrating. I started doing some homework, and turns out these tires are very sensitive to the level of air pressure in them. I had all 4 of mine (staggered setup) set at 35psi. Thats what the shop recommended. I know that the default is 32 front, 38 rear. Well I've been playing around, and I took the fronts down to 32, and the rears to 39 and it seems to have helped quite a bit. Only been two days, but have not had the light come on at all. This with my shockware upgrade has me loving this car again. Quick pic of the new look |

I think by personal experience of the Michelin sport tyre that the original poster either has a very old set of tyres, either the road he is performing is very sleek, either he does not let it get up to working temperature, either he is doing it on purpose, basically all of the above.
