You guys need to get rid of your run flats
Got all 4 wheels wrapped in MPS4S... car has such good turn in now... road noise is WAY down, over all smoothness is just like riding on a cloud.... Did I mention handling? I smile every time I make a turn with how much grip I have. Only downside is I can notice the body roll alot more because the tires arent the weak link. But I'm gonna resist the urge to upgrade suspension as long as I can. So yeah Just a PSA to upgrade your tires ASAP and get rid of those rocks.

If flat in the city, tow truck, here we have cheap annual membership for unlimited towing. If flat in the remote mountains, you're screwed anyway, punctured run flats can't drive that far to get back to town. Only option is press SAS in your BMW and ask the operator to help.

Add about 3 to 5 more lbs of pressure over stock for each corner. And yeah, great tires

You should keep a flat tire repair/inflator with you for emergencies. It fits in the storage cubbies under the trunk floor. You should also carry a space saver spare if you're frequently traveling in remote areas. RFT tires can actually drive for much longer distances if driven slowly. They can definitely save you even if you're in a pretty remote area. Also, the more remote the area is, the more likely a tow truck either can't get to you, or will take a long time to get to you. |

Just got my car a little over a month ago and only 2500 miles on the runflats. I already plan to get rid of them when it's time. Going to switch to 17" goflat winter tire/wheel setup this weekend. I might sell the factory 18" wheels/tires and go 19" with nonrunflats when spring comes around.

Went straight from delivery to Discount Tires and had the Michelin PS4S installed. Fantastic tires, and I hate runflats.

The M5 comes with p zeros. I believe these are run flats. They are like the ones on my car and I don't have anything to complain about as far as handling.

Oh man, that's what I thought with my car (it's only an m-sport, not a full M like yours), but just wait until you get non-runflats. Or if you're in the position to maybe test drive one with non-run flats.

As far as getting a flat goes, yeah I already have a tire repair kit in my trunk under the flap. I'll think about picking up a space saver spare for $90 or whatever it costs incase I go on long trips.
But I'm in the city 99% of my life. If I ever drive long distances it'll be in a rental to save miles.

Both excellent tires. The G20 MSport will be shipping with PS4S.

I've already got a set but I'm waiting for the wheels to put them on.

Optioning out of RFTs aren't for everybody
I decided to go with RFTs again because of its reliability. I'm a stay at home dad, and the kids rely on me driving them everywhere on time. Road service won't do flat repair, and getting the car towed will cause major delay. At least with RFTs, I can still do my driving duties, and get the replacement when it's convenient. I replaced the Goodyears with Bridgestones, and what a difference. More comfort, and less noise. The grip is a little less, but not a significant difference. Overall, it's a better set.
