Headlight Leveling Sensor Issues

My headlights started intermittently aiming very high (45 degrees) when i turn it on.
It start at neutral level and then start moving up slowly 1 inch at a time and stops super high, blinding everyone.
This does not happen all the time, just randomly here and there.
If I switch them off and back on, it sometimes stays where its supposed to.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Should I just buy a new sensor or is there perhaps a lub or adjustment to be made?

I've only found posts with issues like this by people who modified their suspension or headlights...

Anyone had this issue before?

Thansk for your help!

Hi mate, bit late to the party but I'm having the same issue in my f36. Have you resolved this? If so could you say what it was.

My suspicion is on the headlight level sensor as it's threw up codes several times now. The issue being my rear left senor ( UK passenger) so if anyone would have the parts number as there are 2 listed for it, it would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
