Mark congrats on the purchase. Sounds a well specced car.

Assuming you're on a PCP can I ask the deposit and monthlies and mileage too I guess.

Also any of you guys who ordered or enquired about the 335d have any info on when the F31 335d is going to appear?

I'm funding the purchase with my company opt-out scheme which works well for me:

Deposit: nil
Mileage: 20k p/a
PCP Term: 4 years (although I'll most likely change at 3)
Monthly: £685

OTR Price: £49,479
Base: £40,230
Options: £7,505
Delivery/Service/A-Glaze: £1,744
Discounts: £6,532
Net Purchase Price: £42,947

So taking into account the list price of £41,150 + options (total £48,655 excl. OTR costs), my invoice price is £41,203 - a healthy 15.3% discount.

Happy with that.

Incidentally, since my opt-out allowance and tax benefit funds the finance, any equity in the car will be a bonus.

Sorry, no word on F31 as it didn't really come up in conversation. I will ask when he calls me next week.

IF i had kids then id make them walk if they complained.

Id rather trade them in than the coupe.

Ordered my 335d too, at a similar price and spec to MarkG335, but I dropped the sunroof for the HUD. Build date though isn't until October 1st and have been promised that if the F31 or F34 335d are announced before then I can switch my order.

It's obvious you don't have kids. If you did you would never dare say such things...

..if you were a parent you'd know that they put laws in place to ban that sort of thing now -

The deal was built up through a number of factors including returning customer loyalty discount (4th car from this dealer), additional discount for having another BMW in the household, dealer/BMW contribution etc... I'll take another look at the invoice to see if they split out each.

My dealer is Barons in Farnborough but remember you can always use AutoeBid.com to have dealers bid for your business - my neighbour had great success with this in the past.

Play these dealers off against one another you get the best deals that way.

Ordered one yesterday myself thought still not 100% on the colour to pick. I've gone Mineral Grey currently with model deletion for a bit of a sleeper. I love the EBII or white but not sure if I want to stand out that much. When I'm driving to clients sites in a Mineral Grey with model deleted it won't have them thinking they are paying me too much (They should be paying more. Lol). But a white or EBII car well I think that's different.

Based on what people have said here I've gone adaptive suspension so hope that's as good as people say though to be honest I do most driving on dual carriage way / motorways so point to point speed will be enough. Switching from a 330d E90 so hoping for a nice speed bump on this (Not gotten to drive one yet).

I've tried a ZF 8 speed on a 330d F30 and the auto is vastly better than the 6 speed on the E90. A huge improvement. I love my 330d but if I was to fault it on anything it would be on occasions if you want to pull out fast into a roundabout in Drive as it starts in 2nd but then switches to 1st it seems to be an eternity when your wanting to get a move on so learnt to switch to sport mode if I need to pull out quick.

Anyway I've gone for these options...

Pro Nav
Vis Pack
Parking Pack
HK audio
Enhanced Bluetooth / USB / Voice
Model deletion
Folding Mirrors
Front Seat Heating + Steering Wheel Heating
Active Cruise Control
Adaptive M Sport suspension
Speed Limit Display

Hoping to get it before end of Sept but we shall see. Thought about an A45 AMG but when the reviews came out it just seems the suspension is too hard for UK roads. If the reviewers who are used to hard cars think it's hard then I know it would be too hard for me. Adaptive gives best of both worlds I hope though I'm probably not as fussy on the handling as I'm guessing some of you are

Nah I didn't go for the M Sport + pack. I originally specced it but 19 inch rubber costs quite a lot more than the 18inch so I decided against it. Added in a few other options instead like the adaptive cruise control.

Adding it doesn't seem to alter the monthly payments much but as I'm planning to buy the car and keep it a bit longer it does up the final balloon payment. Need to probably take a small break on new cars for myself so the wife can get a nice one herself.

Are you sure about that?

According to Blackcircles the rear tyres:
  1. Bridgestone Potenza S001 RF - 255/40/R18 = £285.54
  2. Bridgestone Potenza S001 RF - 255/35/R19 = £269.94

So actually the 19" are £15.90 per tyre cheaper

Links provided for info

255/40/R18

255/35/R19

That's a nice spec FastLane. Similar to what I would like in a 335d.
My local dealer gave me an A45 AMG the other week for 4 hours but I must say I wasn't that impressed. The ride was really hard and to be honest I couldn't wait to get out on dry land. The spec is very basic for an AMG especially if you compare it to the C63.
Don't get me wrong it was fast but I had a lot more fun driving the M135i and the 330d.
The stick on 'iPad' screen drove me nuts because it was creaking the whole time! B pillars seemed massive too.
It only had a standard exhaust and I'm guessing that the upgraded version would sound even more boy racer.
I have been MERC all my driving life and I was willing it to be perfect but it just wasn't. So much so that I went to my local BMW dealer to see how Beamers have changed over the years and I was impressed with what I saw.
I am seriously looking at changing brand and going for the new 335d xdrive now. I guess it will come down to what deals can be had with either Merc or BMW...
Those are just my findings of course - each to their own.
Cheers

Yeah I didn't think an A45 AMG would probably do for long trips. I remember when I tried an S3 years ago it was good for scaring the wife shitless but once I got onto a B road it was obvious it just wasn't going to be a comfortable long trip cruiser.

Nisfan. OK I think I'm sold on that. Went in to the dealers today and they had a 330d M Sport in EBII with the M Sport+ pack and it just looked so amazing so will switch colour and add the M Sport + pack.

Its not an under the radar kind of colour though but oh well

I test drove one also, and I am not a merc man, it was hard and frankly too "Boy racer" for me, long distance would drive me mad in that. Fit and finish was Crap.
