Very much a personal thing but I'm surprised no one has questioned the choice of black leather for an (almost) black car. Red leather is all over the new car brochures this year so will aid resale in the future. Matches piano black trim perfectly. And it really rescues the interior from boring old (oops I mean "safe") black.

Ideally I would have had Amaro or Golden Brown. But these are not options and I don't like the mocha brown.

Red isn't even an option, really don't like it.

I think it's misleading the DRLs are LED standard, the LED Full lights are an option.

Whatever the standard lights are they look crap! So you do have to spend £1200 to get nice looking DRL's like the ones that come standard on all F30/31 M Sports.

The G30 is in another league compared to the f30 regardless of the lights.

In luxury and refinement yes, but the F30 is faster, more economical & has better handling, so it's swings & roundabouts really.

They look like xenons but they're LED headlights. LED headlights are standard on the 5 Series in all markets. The adaptive stuff is the option.

Not really, they just about match each other for economy and pace take the 530d vs. 330d as an example 5.7 vs. 5.6 to 62mph and the 530d is actually more economical than the 330d at 4.5ltr per 100km vs. 4.9ltr per 100km.

Then add in the huge gulf in the others areas and it's no contest which is how it should be to be fair, the 5er is the better car as its always been.

That looks great, I had the same interior in my F10 back in 2011 comfort seats and merino leather, the fact it still looks fresh and very inviting in your picture 6 years on shows how good the F10 was/is.

I didn't like G30 before, but it's exterior styling especially the M Sport trim with MP accessories look really good. Looks much sportier than a bit boring looking E Class to be honest. Shmee's review of 530D. Nice looking diesel car indeed.
