Original Post:
So a while ago, I decided to make my own cheat sheet. I have kept it to myself for a while but then I shared it with a few people on the BMW forums and got really good feedback and suggestions to share it with everyone.

This is basically a compilation of all the codes I could find on forums, external sites, PMs, and other cheat sheet. I wanted to make it because I was sick of how tiny the writing was on spreadsheets and how lose and all over the place codes were. So I made it how I thought it would look the best! (In my opinion of course.) I revised it to make it coherent with everyone. So download it below

If people here end up liking it, I can continue updating it and posting it to the forums with a change log. I want to continue to add codes or missing information, so feel free to notify me if I'm missing anything.

Anyways, check it out and lemme know what you guys think!

Here's a screenshot of the Table of Contents for reference... They are clickable links in the PDF.

Wow, thanks so much for this! Definitely a must have quick reference.

I had a quick scan through it, but couldn't see anything for coding LED lightbulbs in the break lights and rear turn signals. I know this info is in another thread I just can't seem to find it at the moment either.

Perhaps an addition to future versions of the cheat sheet???

Updated! Also, brake lights in the F30 are already LED bulbs.

Funny I was thinking about doing the same thing, you're awesome. One thought I had in mind was creating some macro so that when you pick what mods you wanted to do you could click this macro and it would sort the mods by CAFD. That would make programming it easier.

Again, this is fantastic!!!!

I vote sticky for this thread.

First off- AWESOME it was nice to see something more up-to-date and from a 2014 owner.

Your guide helped me with the two most important codes I wanted (seatbelt gong) and start-up disclaimer. With just those two, I would be a satisified customer for the Token/Pin and cable purchases.

I also noticed:

FEM_BODY 3023 TCM_MSA_DEFAULT_OFF aktiv nicht_aktiv Auto-Start-Stop set to ‘Off’ at every startup

I tried this and not sure if it is what I wanted it to be. Actually I am unsure of what it did if anything at all. I figured each time I went into eco the start-stop part would stay off. However, after testing, it still did the annoying feature where it would go back to 'on' every time I went from any mode to ECO. What am I missing?

Of course, glad I could help. I'm going to be uploading a new copy with added and fixed things.

Ahh, Eco Pro will always turn on Auto Start-Stop, regardless of what you code. That specific coding feature TCM_MSA_DEFAULT_OFF makes it so the vehicle will always start with the ASS turned off, instead of remembering ASS being on/off.

Aww so if I turned my car off with it 'ON' then when I turned my car back on where it automatically returns to "comfort" the ASS will be off from what I had coded?

OH OH - Is it possible to code where the modes are displayed for 10 seconds on the screen between switches to not appear?

Basically when I switch from ECO to Comfort to Sport, I don't want my wife to know so she does not get any fair warning.

Correct!
You would need TCM_MSA_MEMORY set to nicht_aktiv.
And TCM_MSA_DEFAULT_OFF set to aktiv.

That doesn't need to be coded. That's in the iDrive settings. Go to Settings -> Control Display -> Driving mode info.

If it's on, it will show on the iDrive screen. If off, it will only show change in your instrument cluster.

Oh this is too funny. My wife does the same thing. Gives me that look and says "really, you have to be in "sport mode" to go our of the neighborhood?"

Yeah I disabled my pop up.
