Garaged for 5 weeks

My wife and I just got back from five weeks in Florida. I had it stored in my brother in laws garage all that time. Thanks mark! The 40 minute drive home was heavenly. Bare dry pavement at 75 mph all the way. I actually forgot how nice this car is. I guess five weeks in a Grand Cherokee will do that. I want the snow gone so I can get it detailed.

Did you have a battery tender on it? A long time in storage. The F30 is a very nice ride, isn't it?

I didn't have a tender on it but my bil started it a couple times a week for me. I didn't get any error or warning messages so I think I'm good.

It's hard to describe the ride in this car. It's so comfortable yet precise while cruising but the handling is amazing when pushed hard on corners. I don't know how they do it. I just know it suits me.

Does the M Sport give up ride quality in favor of handling?

I bought my M sport with xdrive, adaptive suspension and the variable steering. It really works sweet. The ride is very compliant in the comfort mode. When you pop it into Sport, everything tightens up and the shift points for the transmission become much more aggressive. In sport mode, it is far sportier than my old 1990 Nissan 300ZX twin turbo which was a dedicated sports car/GT.

Like getting two cars in one. To paraphrase the old commercial for Certs breath mint -
its two - its two cars in one! You have to be old to remember that one.

. Yes, I'm old enough to remember that jingle. I didn't look at the Msport because its a bit too pricey for my budget. It sounds amazing though. I don't think my drive mode switch does much except detune the engine to save gas in Eco mode. I don't think it affects steering or suspension feel at all.
