Connected Drive Services

I have noticed that you can now get connected drive services for £89. A significant reduction from £240. The question is - is it worth it?

Information seems to be very limited as to what you actually get. I'm an android user and I'm trying to work out if that limits options further.

I know you need it before you can activate RTTI and other services such as Concierge but I'm not really interested in these. I just want to know what benefits I get from services on their own?

As far as I'm aware you don't actually get anything with the connected drive services alone, just allows access to pay more for the other services?

I paid for real time traffic and connected drive.
Noticed that when doing online search for destinations it works the best since the data is grabbed from the web. In my case i use the onboard gps 90% of the time so it pays for itself. I did not pay for Concierge service.

If you are ok with waiting and putting in info yourself onto teh GPS. Then no need to pay for the service. The traffic indicator is amazing for me as i drive mainly in the city and it tells me how much longer my traffic congestion is. ( I never use re-route, as it often takes longer).

+1 on this and just to add, I also use it to catch up on news, weather, etc. when sitting in traffic. Solid info on this page as to what it is/does:

My wife has the offer on her F46 2 series Grand Tourer. I was wondering if it's worth doing as she doesn't have navigation, but it would give her Spotify controls and also TuneIn support which she uses. I think you also get GPS tracking for the car, right?
