I'm also on the coast where the fog makes things cold wet and miserable every morning even if it heats up by another 30 degrees and burns off by lunch. I absolutely love having a heated steering wheel - had one on every car since 2010. Butt warmers + heated steering wheel are awesome.
Yeah it gets cold here in SoCal too, but the M-sport wheel is almost immune to cold weather. By the time the heaters in the car get up to temp(2 minutes) you won't even notice it much... I do like my heated seats though

Are you stuck on blue m-sport?

I was stuck on white msport ...as long as it was white with msport and the mileage and price was right, I'd be fine.

With patients and willing to travel 300- 500 miles a deal will pop up.

My list:
- a couple early cars for 2-5K
1999 - first BMW - a 97 528i - loved the rear-wheel drive and wife learned to require heated steering wheel from then on. (northern climate, all cars going forward have dedicated snow tires)
- added a 2003 540iT (sold that 2.5 years ago) and miss it everyday. V8, no turbo, firm handling (slight modifications from stock).
- Sold the '97 and bought a '08 535xi. I never liked the handling but overall, a good car.
- Sold the '03 540iT and purchased 2013 535i (best driving feature: Dynamic Handling Package, best luxury feature now required by wife - Heads Up Display). Again, I miss this car everyday.
- Sold the '08 535xi, purchased 2017 640i GC
- Kept '13 535i and 640i GC and added 2016 328i Touring. Great daily driver, wife loves the size and versatility of a wagon again.

We have generally had various 3rd cars (work car) but my job doesn't require driving anymore so we wanted to get a third car again. I like BMW's and appreciate the nuances between each of the models. six total BMW's for me.
Eye on the new M2 Competition Package next...

I've owned 4 BMW's. First one was a 1975 2002. Second a 2015 228i we picked up on a European Delivery. Currently we have a 2015 335i and 2018 X1.

I also own a 2015 Subaru Forrester XT, that my step-son is currently driving.

In order,

2003 M3. Given its standing in the SC pantheon, possibly the finest car I'll ever own. Miss it dearly.
1989 325i. Proof that lightweight doesn't need 300+ hp to be an absolute blast to drive. Miss the dynamics, if not the actual example.
2017 F31. Because I wanted an SC but needed some cargo practicality, 1 series hatches are not here, and I don't have room for two cars.

I've had 4 BMW's.

2008 e90 328i manual.
2012 e92 335i xdrive manual.
2011 e90 328i automatic.
Current - 2012 F30 335i RWD auto.

First BMW I ever drove was my cousins e39 540i with a manual trans, and I was blown away by how it drove.

The e90 is my favourite bmw. The f30 is luxurious and ridiculously quick, looks great and is very comfortable. But the light electric steering and the bigger feel of the car take away some of the driving dynamics I love about the e90.

Definitely more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow. I can't do much in the 335i without breaking all speed laws in mere seconds. The 328i's N52 motor was so much fun to wind out.

This is my second.

2012 328i e92
2015 428i f32

Before this, I had two Toyota 4Runners that I really miss. I wanted to keep my 03 (pictured below) but I don't have a driveway or space to store. I do regret selling it and I think another Toyota is in my future.

First BMW!

Hi All!
New to the BMW family and this forum. Just purchased a 2015 328d xdrive with a little over 32,000 miles. Really love the car so far! Made the switch from a 2005 Jetta TDI 5-sp manual with 326,000 miles on the odometer. It was time for a change!
TIA for all the info on this forum - it was helpful both prior to and since the purchase!
