Lately ive been lagging work and school have just been keeping me busy as hell although ive been in contact with Lang racing located in Lake Forest, CA for the build they are pretty legit and cool people. I still need to get the gaskets, O rings etc... for the build slowing coming together though, as going to look into that HPFP tuning tech fs said they were going to do. Turbo im most likely going to go with a borg warner if anything if not pure turbo stg2 depends on what exactly the people at Lang racing can do in terms of a custom manifold etc... Its going slow but its going to happen lol.

Haven't heard of too many people modifying/upgrading the headers on these cars. Not too much info out there, you might have to find out for yourself However, headers generally make a big difference in sound, no matter the car, the same might be true for the N20.

Is it worth on getting sprint booster pedal box? I hear it might help your car accelerate .2- .5 sec faster? Does it sound legit? Take any one?

No, not worth it. I don't see modified throttle mapping having any impact on 1/4 mile times if you're WOT anyway. If you're looking for a cheap power bump, get a piggyback tune. JB+ and Dinan Sport are great options and just as easy if not easier to install.

Thnks rjdnyy224 I’m modded now I thought the little extra boost would help.

I’m trying to figure how put my equipment “ ( M grilles | jb4 ) “ like the bottom headers after everything I reply in a comment? Noobie here.

Oh I see. Even if your car is modified I don't see it making any noteworthy difference.

You can change your signature, the thing at the bottom of every post, by going to your profile page in the top left, and clicking on customize profile over on the right side of the page in the same box as your current activity. There will be an option there that says customize signature

i have my JB4 Stage 2 control box and my FSB for my meth kit inside a freezer bag and then i ziptied the freezer bag shut around the wires coming out. Havnt had any issues. Its tucked under the plastic cover on the driver side in the engine bay.

I thought the box for JB4 was attached under a weatherproof cover in the engine bay... I've never seen or owned one so I don't know but I thought that's how it was installed.

Assuming you're talking about power, there haven't been any dyno's of BM3 stage one to my knowledge, but my educated guess would be about 240 whp, and about 285 wtq. Judging by other stage one tune dynos, comparisons to other cars and butt dyno feel, that would be my guess.

Thnx guys! Just ordered gfb dv+ can’t wait.. most of the jb4 don’t come with an additional weather cover just the standard. Might get gorilla glue and glue off and edges n gaps for leak proofing it just an idea. Freezer bag is good too. Then looking into arp rods.

i wouldnt glue it shut, if you do you wont be able to access the serial cable port when you want to hook it up to your computer. Thats why i went the freezer bag route with the zip tie. ive had it like that for over a year without any water getting inside the bag. Plus the location i have it tucked doesnt get water in there that i can tell, the water is funneled away from the area where my JB4 stage 2 is under the plastic cover on the driver side.

as far as a weatherproof solution from burger you have to upgrade the case for the jb4 stage 2 board to their billet box which is like another $60-$75...i cant remember the exact price.

yes i have the bluetooth as well, but if you want to customize it more then just picking an off the shelf map from burger you have to hook it up to the serial port and then hook it up to your computer. Like my methanol settings on map 3 had to be set by me in the JB4 software when i had my laptop hooked up to the jb4 board. You can build custom maps as well so you have different boost at different rpm points. Lots of options to tinker with when you have your laptop hooked up to the JB4 stage 2.

Is there an issue with JB4 dying that way? I haven't ever seen anyone "waterproof" it before, so curious.

For those who wash the hood compartment area. But I’m just doing it extra protection,no issue I heard about it being sealed, just adds another layer of protection

Hi Guys,

New member here from Thailand. I just recently got a stock 2012 320i and in the last 3 months have slapped as much bolts ons as i can on her.

Got a stage 2 e20 remap done by a company in Bangkok Called ProjectA, pushing around 270 hp.

She is fun but im in interested in getting some more out of it! Currently looking at some CP Carrillo Piston and Con rods and a Turbo Upgrade.

This is my first post and thought it was a good thread to introduce myself!!

Hope to speak to you guys more soon.

Welcome to the forums! If your FBO with FMIC, DP, DV+, CP, running E etc. I would say the next best step if you want to go further is a turbo upgrade and forged internals. Sounds like you're on the right track. Pure and MHI are the most popular turbos I believe, I would start your research with them.
