F80 bumpers and fenders installed

After several months of planning, hauling big ass boxes, and fighting against the stealership, I managed to install F80-style front and rear bumpers as well as the front fenders! Other mods I have are the M performance rear spoiler and the F80 style mirror caps. I didn't get the hood though. Note, these are not OEM F80 parts -- they were all designed for the F30.

Bumpers and fenders were from Selma (eBay). Paint and install was by local body shop. Fenders "required" door blend. Front grille and rear diffuser are matte black. Fitment is great on all the parts. Front bumper seems to have a gap between the bumper and hood by 5-8 mm. I can likely fix this by increasing the height position of the headlights. I'm working on getting custom front-side fender inlets -- they can't say M3 (included by default) otherwise, well, you know how this forum is. Other than that, it was a success.

Yeah I was kind of worried if the rear had two black tones it would come off as weird looking. One gripe I have is that the exhaust tips seem a couple inches too low. I might take it back to my exhaust guys.

Love this. Biggest flaw of the 3 series m sport is the front bumper.

Looks sweet!

Were the exhaust tips included in the package? What size are the tips?

Wow, this look really good I must say. Thanks for sharing the price tag too. i am intrigue to do it at some point probably but not yet.
Are those Umnitza headlights? They fit right in with the rest of the car.
Thanks.

Exhaust tips/muffler was separate. $800 parts, $200 install. See: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1299011 for audio.

They are OEM LED LCI headlights. ~$2.2K for parts and $300 DIY harnesses and other install expenses. It was not worth it.

Cool. I'm getting the M3 rear bumper painted as we speak, but I need to buy tips for the car. It'll look like empty space without the quad tips. lol

Yeah definitely get something to fill it up. The exhaust holes on the bumper are pretty wide.

Just a reminder to others who may be reading this in the future: on a M3-style F30 bumper or OEM M3 rear bumper, the standard 335i dual exhaust outlets will not line up correctly. The M3 bumpers outlets are closer to the center of the car. See:

Does this mean I'll have to have the shop cut the exhaust tips off before going to a muffler shop?

The best way, which is what I did, was first install the new exhaust and completely remove the old M-Sport/non-M sport/whatever diffuser you have. Then head over to the body shop so they can install the new bumper. You could also do this the other way around but my bumper did not have a detachable diffuser.

I have the same kit but I havent done the fenders yet because I wanted to see how they fit. Any issues with alignment on those as I might bite the bullet now. Your car looks great. As for your front bumper/hood gap. Easy fix, open the hood and those screws that you see straight down holding the top section of the bumper, several from left to right. loosen them all and then push that header forward, holding it forwarded as you tighten each bolt back down. You can actually get the gap down to the same or better than OE. Very easy to adjust. Just play with it a bit, closing, opening to see where you want it and then tighten everything down. I had to do it on both cars and even our new Gran Coupe because I changed out the grill to black and when doing that created a gap. So had to realign.

Subbed. I'll need to get the info from you for the rear bumper once I finally pick up my F30. Whether I get the M Sport or not,I'm replacing that skimpy stock rear bumper and going with something aggressive like this. I always do quad exhausts on my cars as well.

Very well executed, I likes.

Just got my M3 rear bumper installed. I like it. I just ended up going to a muffler shop to get quad tips put on.
